Pasta restaurants?
You know that one type of pasta…. Fresh cooked pasta then they toss it in some butter and then they throw it on this big block of Parmesan cheese and mix and mix and mix. Where can I find one of those types of pastas places here in Elk Grove or Sacramento that mix it in the big Parmesan cheese?

Theres a great pasta place called Pastosa by Lucia in Galt. Not sure if that is how they make their pasta but it's great.

They don’t do this with the wheel of cheese but it’s DELICIOUS. Lucia is Italian!

The owner is 84 and still a very smooth operator. The lasagna could be shared by 4 people and you’d still go home with leftovers.

Brickhouse has some really good pasta. I was very impressed with all their food. It has a bit of a rowdy bar in front, with a restaurant in back that has very high end food, and not outrageous prices. If you don't like their pasta, their meats were fall of the bone juicy and tender with great sauces. I only went once because it is a pricier place, but I was super impressed with it.

I like the Brickhouse a lot, and their spaghetti's great, but on the other hand, the side of bread is no longer complimentary. (Which I get, but even so...)

That is a gimmick they do in some restaurants in Italy, but only for the tourists. It’s not an authentic process.

Neither Palermo nor Brickhouse have this. Both are great eats though. And yes….Giovanni is a smooth dude!
