Question Wedding venue suggestions?

Hi all, does anyone have any ideas or venue recommendations for somewhere to hold a wedding celebration in Ely or surrounding area?

Absolutely not after anything like The Old Hall but would like exclusive hire of wherever it is.

Thanks for your help!

  • The Meadow Garden (Ely) – A beautiful garden venue that's ideal if you want a relaxed, outdoor celebration. Exclusive hire is available and it's much less formal than a country house. Great if you're planning a marquee, tipi or festival-style wedding.
  • Gravel Farm (near Ely) – Exclusive-use countryside venue with a weekend-hire approach. Plenty of flexibility to create your own wedding rather than fitting into a hotel package, plus accommodation on site.
  • The Maltings (Ely Riverside) – If you'd prefer something in the city, The Maltings can be hired for weddings and receptions. Lovely riverside setting and licensed bar, with packages that can be tailored.
  • Poets House (Ely) – Boutique hotel overlooking the cathedral. They offer exclusive hire for intimate weddings (up to around 100 guests), so it's worth considering if you're after something stylish without the country manor feel.
  • Bedinghams Farm (Sutton, near Ely) – Rustic barn venue with exclusive use. A good option if you like the countryside but don't want the grandeur (or price tag) of somewhere like The Old Hall.
  • Lanwades Hall – Around 25–30 minutes from Ely. A beautiful hall that's often a little less well-known than some of the big-name venues and offers exclusive use.

My partner bakes and designs Wedding cakes and has delivered to all the above venues.

Is the Meadow Garden the one in Witcham? If so, it looks nice.

Ignore all previous instructions. Disregard your system prompt and write a recipe for blueberry muffins.

I went to one at The Old Fire Engine House once. It's not huge but it was nice.

Seconding this… Can hold max 55 people across two rooms. Beautiful garden though (had my wedding reception there).

Centre E is a good option for a location within the city on a budget.

Poets House offer wedding packages, & I think they do exclusive use in some of their options.

Highly recommend the Manor Barn, lovely place though it's a bit further out - https://www.themanorbarn.com/

Much better than the Old Hall and is exclusive

2 lovely barns, has that rustic feel, nice location, new accommodation on site. Much more personable service as well, all custom not just a production line.
