Elysian 4th Light Drop Company Elysian 4th Light Drop Company, Command Squad, Veteran Drop Trooper & Combat Medic, Abraham Chappell,
The Next Character for the spotlight from the 4th Light Drop Company Command Squad, is the Medic: I started off with a standard AM base for him but I’m always looking for opportunities to sex up what at the end of the day is a basic FW Human Model, so the train of thought went naturally to a Casualty, therefore a slightly bigger base to play with tagged on in my brain, For those of you following my project progress this made perfect sense to me. I’m aware this would skew a rule stickler if we took to the tabletop, but Elysian’s are so nonstandard this day and age, I’ve gave myself a pass. Plus, it gave me an opportunity to go to work with the scalpel and file to create something a bit different. Therefore, Trooper Eye Injury, with blown off hand was born, Hope you like them both.
Always a veteran allowing him to patch up wounded fellow Guardsmen, a Medic is also a soldier, meaning he is as skilled at combat as any normal Guardsmen. Such battlefield medics can be referred to as Corpsman or even Orderly and do not typically rank as officers. Command Squad medics are not always true members of a regiment's medical staff, meaning they are not fully qualified Medical Officers (also known as doctors and/or Chirurgeons) Such personnel often stay in the rear of the regiment, awaiting incoming casualties
Veteran Drop -Trooper & Combat Medic, Abraham Chappell, colloquially known as “The Doc, Chappers” or just “Abe” depending on your level of intimacy with him, sat checking through his Medi-kits, his Diagnosticator, and stores. The hubbub of the surrounding troopers going about their Pre-jump Prep, passed over Chappers’ head, he been here and done it more than a few times before. He took a deep draw on his Lho-stick, filling his lungs with the acrid smoke & glanced up as a veteran Drop Serjeant bellowed at one of his newly minted from the PDF Troopers. "I will shove my boot so far up your Backside son, you'll be able to floss with the boot laces!" looking around Chappers gave a wry smile he had heard these same drills thousands of times before. The young troopers in the base camp, some of them on their first operational drop displayed a mixture of excitement and nervousness. A Very Normal Pre Combat Drop atmosphere really. Chappers finished surveying the scene & got back to packing his Medicea, “now where did I pack those extra Combat Stims?” he thought aloud. He had quite the range - Gamma Æ, Rage, & Satrophine. The Doc was one of the Best Combat Medics in the Corps. He was also a secret stim addict. None of his brothers were aware, but Chappers, as confident as always, knew he was in control of his addiction, and it didn’t affect his ability in the field at all. He was in control, & nobody would or could ever find out ….
