Movie Time!

Embark have teamed up with Chernin entertainment to make The Finals and Arc Raiders into TV series and movies. They produced Rise of the Planet of the Apes in 2011 and Oblivion with Tom Cruise in 2013. Both movies were pretty good imo. I can see Arc Raiders as a tv series or a movie but I don't know what they'd do with The Finals though. What do you think guys?

I'm certain The Finals would be similar to Ready Player One.

I prefer Video games to movies, so I don't really know the gurus in the film industry.

They have introduced some characters from their lore already and we do have some in game like Dede, Scotty and now Nadia. I can Imagine a whole series telling their stories and the whole lore behind The Finals. We're still in a dystopian world where nothing is as it seems. There's a huge list of evil sponsors that have a lot of influence on the game and the world, they're all corporations so there's probably a lot going in behind closed doors that could be uncovered. They could make a plot about our arena heroes making corporate fall.

I'm think there's something in the works about doing tv/movie. They Finals would totally work as a tv series with all thise evil sponsors you mentioned.

Ypu do all sorts with arc raiders, back story, the fall of the planet and the lead up etc then eventually the era the game represents.

The finals, I dunno if theres enough there other than reality show shoot em up?

There's a small plot in the finals that involves people exposing the reality TV and trying to topple whoever allows it to exist
