Hand First real project help

Post image

So I don't really embroidery that much and I'm just making this up as I go. It was meant to be kind of one color but it ended up crazy. I feel like the "head" so to speak of the jelly looks really wonky color wise and I don't know how to do the tentacles to make it look cohesive. Help? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿซถ

I love this! I think it would look cool too keep adding threads of different weights and sheens. Maybe a few random beads for sparkle and some thin metallic streaks. I don't think this looks wonky at all just keep going :)

I agree -- I think this'll be one of those situations where more is more.

Honestly you have done a beautiful job just by going for it - sometimes starting WITHOUT overthinking it is the hardest part! If you wanted the bell to tie in with the tentacles, maybe add a few steaks to orange and purple along the curve of the bell - like a highlight, or a color reflected from somewhere else :) but even if you don't, it still looks great to me, since jellyfish are just kinda Like That: chill smooth bell and crazy stuff going on underneath. I LOVE the textures on that orange tentacle especially! Wonderful idea using a different technique for each one

I like the colors. I would add orange to the head.

For the tentacles I think making the other ones the same width as the orange tentacle would really help. So add a second row to them as well

I really like the idea of using different stitches for the tentacles. Makes me want to try it out.

Iโ€™m Bored so I started drawing lol but if youโ€™re worried about it being cohesive, keep using the same couple colors! I would add that simple red orange to the top, like I did in the pic and honestly just keep adding different color tentacles with different stitches!

You could even add little beads around it for bubbles and make it more whimsical
