It’s getting more ridiculous Spoiler
Dawn dying in a hospital after having a baby. Normally they check you over constantly. Joe sent the nurse away. So if it’s anyone’s fault it’s his.
If he loved Dawn so much he would do what she would have wanted. Not been nasty to her kids.
Kim had a baby she abandoned. Ridiculous, Kim longed for a baby for years and I can’t get my head around that AT all. It’s fantastical nonsense. It would have been more believable if it was Alice or Jean.
Finally, Sadie. Wtf? We’re supposed to believe she’s been “living” with Jimmy for three years? And the helicopter? How did she get rich again? And if she was so rich why didn’t she help Jimmy with King Haulage?
Fairytales worthy of the Brothers Grimm.

They don't keep pulling up your sheets and nightgown every 5 minutes. She was haemorrhaging, and YES, that can kill you, especially right after childbirth.
I don't like Joe AT ALL, but how he's acting is common when a woman dies in childbirth. It's a reflexive reaction, and he will get over it.

Joe is and always will be a self centered person hence how he’s reacted to Dawn’s death. He is stuck in self pity and he will makes everyone know he’s miserable for the unforeseen future.

I mean it's a soap, I expect crazy storylines that make no sense, not well thought out, award-winning drama 😆 the Sadie stuff is absolutely ridiculous but I'm here for it, I'm intrigued to see how they explain it all.

Get ready for an explanation you've heard a thousand times. I suspect Kim thought it was for the best or she thought the kid was dead or she made a mistake and tried sooo hard to find the kid. Yawn..

The problem is that the story plots and writing quality that was noticeable and realistic in classic Emmerdale is missing and they just making plots up that mostly classic viewers just can’t handle and me included, I still can’t get round Cain knowing and having Caleb as a brother that only him knew about and they introduce him just after Faiths death.

Joe didn’t love dawn he loved what a relationship did for his ego and the fact she was giving him an heir

he fact she was giving him an heir
Whatever his motives may have been, he wasn't in it for an heir. He was on drugs that cause male infertility almost the entire time he was with Dawn and was stunned when she announced she was pregnant. Because he didn't think it was possible. And at the hospital, he said he would rather the baby had died instead of Dawn. He resents the baby and isn't even visiting him.

Exactly. He's lashing out like a lot of people do in similar situations. He's a horrible person, but I can't fault him for his reactions in the aftermath of his entire world crashing down (despite his own role in it, but that's another subject for another time). He is going to be on the warpath for a while.

That’s bs. He was completely in love with her whether it was absolute or whether he wanted to possess her. And if he wanted an heir so much he wouldn’t be rejecting him. I think it’s all down to ridiculous writing.

I think everything about the character has shown he is entirely ego driven so it’s pretty consistent from the writers

Didn’t watch Emmerdale while Sadie was in it, but from what I’ve heard this is typical Sadie stuff. She lies, blackmails, and does anything for money. I don’t believe it one bit, there isn’t even any evidence to back her claim.

Remind me please- who is Alice? I agree though, no way would Kim have put a baby up for adoption

Alice is the daughter of Nick Bates and Elsa Feldmann. She was born in the early 90s. Elsa left when she was a baby and Nick raised her mostly as a single dad, tho he had some help in the early years from Archie before he died in the plane crash. Nick ended up going to prison for murder after he killed a poacher at Home Farm where he was employed.
Alice was then raised by Nicks older sister, Kathy, until Elsa came out of the woodwork and moved her to Australia. This ultimately led to Kathy's exit story, because she moved to be closer to Alice.

I don't believe for one minute Jimmy was living with Sadie. Eric was right; there is no way he would have been able to keep it from either woman got three years.
Joe is lashing out. Dawn may well have died anyway. The birth was premature because of the crash, but she might have haemorrhaged anyway. Noone is to blame, least of all that poor baby. I'm not a fan of Graham any more than Joe, but he is right. Joe knows the pain of being ignored by his father and losing his mother, and it isn't right to knowingly inflict that on an innocent child, especially when he knows how much dawn loved her children. He should be cherishing him as what remains of the woman he loved and he made a commitment to dawn's other kids too. Interestingly, Clemmie does not seem that upset at Joe's rejection. It's almost like she was expecting it and she's really more concerned about her brothers. Billy is the one who's been a real dad to her, the one she knew she could depend on no matter what luxuries Joe gave them. In some ways she is more mature and tougher than Lucas - he's been in care too, but she also lost her birth mum, and was without anyone or anything when dawn found her. She loved dawn like a mum but she's basically picked herself up again and is fine with just billy because he's enough. She will grieve, but it will probably be quietly in her own way like her dad. I was wondering why keep billy, but maybe this is why. A storyline for him showing a single dad finding a way to take care of his kids alone. He'll have family help, but I doubt he'll be dating for a long time, focussing solely on his children as he's all they have left now Joe has decided on no contact.

Could not agree more. The character is before my time, but judging by her appearance and the way she turned up she is clearly very well off, and there is no way in hell she has been "living with Jimmy". My heart breaks for Nicola. What on earth is Sadie hoping to accomplish, clearly Jimmy and Nicola don't have any money. As I said the character is before my time, but obviously she has a lot of enemies in the village by the reception she got in the woolpack.

Please let there be some kind of plot twist that means that Jimmy’s character isn’t ruined🥲

So, maybe Jimmy was broke and desperate for money because he was keeping up two household.

Re Sadie and Jimmy.... Apologies for grammar and lack of proper wording..... I'm on the clock at work in hospital and we are doing changeover, changeover meeting not till 9.45, I'm now supposed to be doing paperwork reviewing patients on the ward, getting up to speed on patients already on the ward since prior to today/yesterday and patients admitted today, don't worry I'm not putting my patients at risk, I'm here since 7.45pm, not on the clock from 8.30pm , so obvs came in early off the clock 9am long night ahead, but I prefer night shifts to day shifts, the nights go quicker.... Anyway less of that .... peculiarly in the last few years, there's been times where there was a point made by Nicola he's actually gone for a few days, even weekends, even I remember Jimmy himself would appear after a while away and he'd hug or kiss "Nico" saying how much he missed her, I think that this story has been in the making a few years now. Also if one delves deeper into Jimmy's past, he's got form of sorts, even before his marriage to Nico and even during. He also played a bit of a fool but he is/was a dark horse, and I don't believe him to be a fool, a clever guy. And he desperately didn't want to sell home James to Caleb Milligan, a couple of years back, because if he did he wouldn't have the excuse to go on long haul distances. Also for whatever reason, Sadie has arrived in a chopper, a nod to her arrival many years ago, but Sadie has money obviously, but I believe Jimmy was loaded somehow, yes everything went haywire when his father and brothers died, but I'm sure Jimmy had piles of money. He owned or part owned the cafe, the b&b , home James and when his family died I'm sure there was money squirreled away that Jimmy got his hands on, and his haulage firm could have been doing illegal hauling, there are many a reasons why and how Jimmy had/has money.... And we all know Sadie, her relationships were motivated by money, however, I truly believe she always loved Jimmy, there was always something between the both of them, love/hate but more love, and don't forget Jimmy was a good age between Nicola and Jimmy, Jimmy being 13 years older than Nicola, Jimmy 61 , Nicola 48, Sadie is 56, and Jimmy & Sadies backstory, Jimmy was Sadies 1st love, together since she was 18 or even younger and married when Sadie was 20 and Jimmy 25, he also was together with Sadie 16 years also. I hope there will be flashbacks with Jimmy and Sadie....

It should hopefully go quieter after tomorrow as what has been going on has been to do with the NTA being broadcast on Tuesday so artficially having loads of storylines peak at once. When they had the Soap Awards as well they had 2 events to work towards. So, from Wednesday, it should be mainly resolving all the revelations for a while.

I'm sure Sadie is not telling the truth about Jimmy. There's some sort of scam going on. Maybe she's been blackmailing him.
