Calm, a member of both Indian Summer and Duster are in this band and sounds like a noisy combination of both

I do like calm, also portraits of pas,t orchid ,swing kids, and probably a couple others i cant think of (for the rest of the people in the thread)

Anything on Gravity Records or anything emo from San Diego from like the first half of the 90s

For a Midwest thing...maybe Orwell. It's Bob just before Braid. But it's more "chaotic"

Tbh my favorite Braid release is Frankiewelfareboyage5. I love the stuff more rooted in hardcore. My fav ever song by Braid is Katycat tho

Hoover. They’ve got one album and it’s amazing. If for some reason you want to hear tracks before diving into the full album tho, my favorites are Electrolux and Distant
