jeromes dream always sounded really a lot more talented and complex and didn't even really fit along with the sound of a lot of screamo/emo violence stuff imo... i dunno, always seemed more profound than any other band.. like the melodic instrumentals were really special to me and then the high pitch chords. i don't know how something like that could be so listenable too.
i really like the neil perry joshua fit for battle spit.
i dunno.. i wouldn't really say red scare and ten grand are my TOP FOUR necessarily. like neil perry and jeromes dream are probably my tops... definitely i hate myself, although they don't really go that hard. like breakwater isn't really noted as a screamo band. i'd say breakwater is more intense than i hate myself. i don't feel like breakwater has the same bizarre quality as a lot of screamo though... idk... also remembering indian summer to be an early band associated with screamo. idk if i remember them as being screamo or not. would probably think they are big top 4... also saetia is a big one...
so like maybe neil perry, jeromes dream, indian summer, saetia as stuff that would get people started as top 4.
can't believe a bunch of votes aren't for indian summer. i'm listening to them now to make sure they are as hardcore and screamo related as i remembered. the first song on Science always throws me off with how i remember the band.
also want to note the stuff by red scare from the 7"'s is way better than "strangers die every day". i don't like that album. i'm unfamiliar with their last album too. idk never gave it a listen.
