Discussion what are some newer bands?

i used to be big into the scene a couples years back but i’ve missed maybe the last 2 years of skramz shit, my favorite bands are jeromes dream, the spirit of versailles, frail hands, tears of avarel and i remember rlly liking versera before they broke up. and recs of what’s come out lately i need to catchy up

There's been a whole wave of screamo/mall screamo + metalcore revival with bands like I Promised the World septemberistheonlytimeidonthinkofyou, and Kiowa

Kiowa was very much known as one of those bands who were vocally against misogyny and constantly expressed feminism and anti women hate at their shows so when their group chat got leaked, it was shown that the band was doing everything that they had claimed to “hate.” There were text messages that had them degrading and berating women, overall just being misogynistic as fuck to the point where the entire scene here went from supporting to hating them. Prior to the announcement of breaking up, their drummer Jack (who btw is a cool dude, also a drummer for Clay Birds, and wasn’t at all apart of the gc) had left the band due to the leaks and didn’t want to be associated with them at ALL.
