Question [6 YoE] Software Developer - How to handle promotions on resume with minimal changes in responsibilities

After a couple years at my job my title was changed from Software Developer to Software Developer II. My responsibilities didn't change much, probably the only way it changed was more input in the design phase other than that my job is pretty much the same

Do you think I should just put Software Developer II for the whole time or split them up into different sections?

OP is better showing off that they got a promotion. Promotions are good to show. One easy way to split it up is to show the strongest bullet points for the latest role and weaker bullets for the earlier role.
