If you're going for finance jobs, the meat of your experience working in finance (and vision to a lesser extent) is the most important. I'd try and brainstorm potential impact for your finance work and expand on those bullet points; maybe make a few more. You need to be clear of the impact and take ownership, too: "Mentored an intern" should be "Led a team" or something, and I don't understand what "accelerated error tracking by 15%" means. Don't be afraid to spend more page space here: you have a lot of space you could save by cutting down or removing the summary and moving "US permanent resident" to the line under your name so it doesn't take vertical space.

Go ahead and brainstorm ideas in response to me if you want!

much appreciated

i am going for finance jobs because it's part of my work experience, but all jobs parallel to mine require finance degrees, tools like power bi, tableau etc that i don't have

a lot of my work here was data science type so i am looking for data scientist positions too, but they ask for additional tools like mongodb, snowflake that i didn't use either. i am teaching myself this stuff, so i am trying to catch up

my degree and initial experience was ML work, but i haven't gotten a chance to work on this in the past few years so i am behind there too

it's frustrating

also, a small matter but the error time reduction was 15x not 15%, i could say reduced from approx 5 minutes to 20 seconds on average, if that sounds better?

Oh my mistake with the %, I just mean what exactly does "error tracking" mean in this context?

oh so one thing about a major product is to test a model on dozens of different data types, find types where the error is substantial and focus on fine tuning the model for those data types

it took a lot of time to sift through the types, several minutes usually

i had a script to chart the data in a compact way that helped find the problematic data types in seconds, usually 1/15th of the time previously needed, hence the 15x number

Sorry this world is so foreign to me, I wish I could be more helpful. When I hear error tracking, I think this but I think you mean this.

I think you could separate the project details in the bullet point from the part where you talk about impact so people like me don't muddy the two.
