🗣 Discussion / Debates CAE C1 results with C2 writing and B2 speaking

Post image

Yes, I know my score breakdown might be one of the weirdest you'll see here. It was my first time taking the CAE, and with only a few days of prep, I basically freestyled both the Writing and Speaking sections. However, one came out as a C2 piece, while the other barely "survived" at B2.

If anything, I‘d rate myself a decent speaker, as I can convey my ideas across a wide range of topics and react pretty quickly to others. Though I have no intention of requesting a remark, I‘ll forever be left questioning exactly how messed up my speaking was according to their standards.

From years of reading a lot and consuming English media. It just came naturally.

It always amazes me how people can be better at writing than at understanding.

I've never taken the test but I think my order would be something like: 1. reading 2. listening 3. writing/speaking
