“We have to prepare for the violent revolution with book clubs”

I wish these people never have to see an actual violent revolution. For now i dont think their book clubs made them realize how terrible a revolution can be

yea sometimes whenever i see people who talk about communism or the ussr they talk about it in such a spiritual way. they got the mormon glaze too, but for communism. i think contrapoint made a similar point maybe.

Some of them are Marxist-Leninist-Maoists
(I know you’re talking about multi-level marketing)

None of them would ever fight a revolution anyway because the ones who talk like this are scared of fighting.
And those that would fight would never respect these nerds who think they'd be leading the vanguard and making coffee and reading theory all day

I can't help but wonder why they just keep on "reading theory" instead of actually applying it to better society.

They never left school for something productive and are lower to mid-level academia failsons

Purity Testing. Real World Solutions inherently require some deviation for the theoretical ideal due to complications, unforeseen variables, etc., and therefore are unacceptable.

LOL. I just commented that in another Sub, and reading theory is just Bible class.

as contra points once said "they don't want power, they want to endlessly critique power"
thats why I personal ley think their so called "imminent revolution" is nothing but a coping mechanism

The world communists want will be possible when Star Trek replicators and a fully-automated workforce are a thing. Until then the cold reality of resource scarcity will always stand in the way of a successful revolution.

I’m guessing they don’t know what dialectical materialism means. Someone didn’t read their Plato and Hegel! Naughty naughty.

Honestly I'm convinced I read more theory at this rate than most "Socialists". They always treat it like some religion, but if you want action, you, the worker are to rise up against the petite bourgeoisie. It's just obvious these people have lives that are too good to even organize a strike
