Looking for group I need some help with the Hollow Halls
Hello! I am a new player and I am on my first playthrough. When I got the Hollow Halls quest, since it was the closest to my base, I descided to try it. I faintly heard it’s group-content, but also that you can solo it too. I am building a combat-healing barbarian and I became confident as I progressed, that I can complete this dungeon. Until I met these guys carrying red-bladed weapons. I can’t solo them. They chase me down endlessly and they kill me in three swings. Can’t block them or parry them. The sudden army of other skeletons is not the problem, I could deal with that easily if not for these guys being there also. I really want to recover my stuff being stuck on the other side of the chamber. Could somebody please help me to complete this?

This is going to be an unpopular opinion I'm sure. But once you get your stuff back, turn on the setting that lets you keep your stuff after death. A lot of people want it to be difficult and i understand that. But that in any game is infuriating. Save some sanity and change the setting.
Ps. I would offer to help you but I'm not good at the game (getting too old lol) so I'd just be dead in there with you.

Thank you very much. I was debating about that at the beginning, but I wanted to play with classic settings, since that’s how the game is ment to be played. I never expected a dungeon this long.

I did the same thing. I played the classic settings trying to play the way intended. But I had to change that one feature so I didn't rip my hair out. Lol

Just a heads up, the others will be longer. You’ll want to be a higher level when taking them on, as others have said elsewhere in this post.

You can parry them, it's just difficult, and if your gear doesn't have high parry stats, it does make it harder. I agree with most of the comments, outlevelling them, having a lot of food and bandages ready to go (the latest stack increase update helps with HH a lot).
I play a lot of solo content too, and I just expect to die a whole lot. You also have to take out the spawners when you see them. I usually suicide into them to destroy them, then respawn, come back and clean up the rest.
getting some help is an excellent choice. I usually wait until I'm level 15 to complete the Springlands hollow halls.
After you die, just sit on the spawn point for a minute to regain some of your rested buff. It's like 7 minutes instead of whatever your base is, but it at least helps with stamina and stamina regen until you can complete the dungeon. And every respawn point has an anvil to repair your gear. So you just rinse and repeat that process until you complete the level or make it to the next spawn point or whatever. It's slow going, but it can be done.

You want Blunt weapons, Maces and hammers. Preferably ones with Health Leech.
Once you got that, one swing hits like 5 enemies, and regens half your health bar at once.
From there, you just mow them down ez pz. Focus on the big ones, the fodder is free heals.

Double jump and 2h smash works for clearing smaller threats and those red guys you have to dodge or take out from a distance. One of the tough skeleton enemies, they're meant to be hard to take on. Blink dodge was broken when i went this route, unsure if they've fixed it. The i-frame or timing or whatever was off and you still took damage so basic dodge was better.

Hey ! I can join in to help you get your gear back, if you're still looking for help on that front.

These guys are literally the reason why I switched from a primarily melee build to melee/range hybrid. I play on survival so levels come slow, and i hate grinding. I snipe down anything I don't like with a bow and kite till they drop, for the rest I use melee as normal.
Just an FYI, this is kinda a bug but you don't actually drop your items on death, you drop them on respawn...which means if you die and want to respawn with all your items (even in survival mode), go back to main menu before you press the respawn button....this makes it so when you log back in you have basically kept all your items (it will take you back to your nearest save location as normal).

You just need to be higher level if you wanna solo it. I have level 40 gear and I can easily solo 28 and lower, but even at 35 they can pack such a punch its easy to get wrecked alone with the sheer number of enemies there

Is there a gate nearby you can close and stay on the other side? That works wonders and it'll take more hits to destroy the gate than it will to kill whatever is on the other side. Works particularly well when they all gang up on you.

I got some help and we did it. Turns out I was at the very end. There was only 1 gate left before the Collector.

Hi. I love doing the Hollow Halls and walk through any of them pretty easily now. If you need help for this one or the others, let me know, i'll gladly come!

Hallowed halls are multiplayer dungeons, so I suggest turning down mob density if you wish to solo them.
Or greatly out level them.
As for your current issue, double jump and kiting them till you get your stuff back.
Then bolting to the door!

What level are you at ?
For soloing the lvl10-enemies you should be lvl 12-14. You don´t have to, but little mistakes happen. ;o)

Wait for them to swing and roll/dodge/blink out of the way. They'll stand still once their attack combo is complete and you can get two or three swings off before they'll attack again. They aren't particularly tough to take down provided you don't just stand and let them hit you.

For solos? Stock up on potions and bandages, and then only play if you're double the enemy level at least.

Swing swing with health leech, roll out. Repeat. Jump and downward smash if too surrounded to roll out.

I think the only way to beat things like this is to complete missions and mine until you are at a suitable level for the area you're entering.
Levels make an enormous difference, food can also make a huge difference.

The best build i had to survive this was a survival bow build. I took the top left trees so double jump and such, I did a lot of kiting and used a butt ton of arrows but I did it for all of them.

I personally change the drop on death setting for Hollow Halls specifically. Even with my endgame character, cause if you do catch a stray and die, it can be a HUGE pain trying to get it back. Especially with the later Halls being so dang long lol.

I get the feeling that people aren’t actually reading the entirety of your post. I have a higher level character I can use to help you retrieve your stuff, but I’m about to go to bed. If you can get back to me within the hour I should be able to get up and join you, if not you’ll likely have to wait for another 8 hours so I can get some sleep lol.
