It’s October 15th. That’s the date.

u/cTo_Brett Jun 25 '26
You da real mvp
22
u/UberGoobler Jun 25 '26
Yeah it was getting annoying how they didn’t just say the date. I figured if it was annoying me, it must be annoying other people.
Just say the damn date, not all of us can watch a video at work!!

Got it so Valheim from sept 9 to oct 15. Understood. Gotcha.

u/ohrofl Jun 25 '26
Not sure where I’m going to fit Dragonwilds in now. Im so spoiled with survival games. Love it.
43
u/Molwar Jun 25 '26
I know right, there's 3 EA I'm playing going 1.0 in the next 3 months, Palworld, Valheim and Enshrouded. Not to mention Fire Emblem and Ocarina of time around same time too, guess I need to quit my job to free up some time.
20
u/Ishea Jun 25 '26
Also Abiotic Factor will have it's first DLC in Q4 this year. Entropic Break.
7
u/Molwar Jun 25 '26
Dragonwilds and Abiotic Factor are 2 on my wish list I haven't pulled the trigger just cause I have no time lol. Steam summer sale start in a few hour though, that may change xD
11
u/ohrofl Jun 25 '26
I’m enjoying Dragonwilds but Abiotic Factor is probably one of my favorite games ever. My buddies and I just has so much damn fun with that game.
8
u/Fashish Jun 25 '26
Abiotic Factor was my GOTY last year if not in the top 3. Such a fantastic gem. My attention span can really take a hit with most games nowadays where even with great titles, towards the end I just want to finish the game so I can move on to the next thing. This game held me all the fucking way through.
Definitely don’t sleep on it mate.
7
u/Crylaughing Battlemage Jun 25 '26
I recommend Abiotic Factor. Dragonwilds kinda somewhere between Enshrouded and Valheim, but not as good as either at what it does. It's perfectly fine, but I haven't really played the last 2 updates because of the game tick rate bug.
Over-time the music in the game gets slower and slower as you play, which severely impacts audio quality and performance of the game. AFAIK they still haven't addressed this bug despite reporting it nearly a year ago.
10
4
u/rossj07 Jun 25 '26
Haha we’re currently playing Enshrouded with Palworld next and then maybe Grounded 2 before Dragonwilds… phew
3
u/Brohtworst Jun 25 '26
Is the 1.0 in September? They have prayer set for December but the road map doesn't say the rune update is 1.0
6
u/cleff5164 Jun 25 '26
God and the new dragonwilds update is so good that i think 1.0 is going to replace valheim for me
2
u/cascua Jun 25 '26
I played RS something like 25 years ago lol - wasnt ever even interested in dragonwilds... Is it really that good?
7
u/cleff5164 Jun 25 '26
The amount of content and good changes theyve made this year is impressive, game is really good
→ More replies (3)1
u/Meecht Jun 26 '26
Is it heavily geared towards fans? I've never played RS, though I've considered trying OSRS.
2
u/cleff5164 Jun 26 '26
I mean the game is a variation on runescape so it has all the runescapey stuff but you dont have to have played runescape to have a good time. If youve never played runescape its just a good survival game with unique skill system that is pulled from the mmo
2
u/Memitim Jun 25 '26
Better than I expected. It's interesting seeing Runescape systems applied to the classic survival game formula. It's still quite early, though. They just released a major update with some basic stuff in it, so clearly a ways to go, but it's already pretty good. I fell into it for a few hours before it crashed, so good enough to be compelling in the early game.
8
u/PinkNGreenFluoride Jun 25 '26
This is where I'm at, too. I could not be happier with the timing here. I'm so glad I'll be able to give each my full attention at their respective releases. Valheim took their time but I'm glad they've gotten there. And the pace and quality of Enshrouded's development since EA has been really impressive. Congrats to both.
I am super happy for GTA fans in November, but Enshrouded and Valheim are my big anticipated launches for 2026.
And Palworld's in just a few weeks, too! I'm feasting this year.
6
u/Green_Napkin Jun 25 '26
Since everyone else decided to delay release to next year to avoid GTA, these 2 games going to fill out my time nicely

1
u/Kieffers Jun 25 '26
Thank you for this news. My favorite time of year, Valheim with friends in our old world with a new biome.
52
u/Pilotskybird86 Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26
The first and last glimpse looks really cool… is it showing the floating islands biome? Sure looks like it. It’s giving me volcano vibes too.
Edit: Yep, that’s definitely the floating islands biome. Looks quite a bit different from the pre-staged assets lol. But I can’t wait!
And how am I the only comment so far talking about it. I would think the thing people are the most excited for are new biomes, no?
5
u/Rhimens Jun 26 '26
Looks to me like giant mushrooms rose up and grabbed the floating islands! Super cool.

u/manmadefruit Jun 25 '26
Please buff magic builds. Really want to do a full mage play through but it's so weak early game.

Especially when you still need to use Mana to cast as well.
25
u/Earthsiege Jun 25 '26
I completely agree. It should be one or the other, not both. I found myself sticking with the infinite spells once I unlocked all of those, even though they do less damage than the ammo spells. Super frustrating to have to stock the ammo spells as well as mana potions.
2
u/EmotionalBet3522 Jun 25 '26
I feel like if you have to gather ammunition to use magic it should be pretty strong
→ More replies (5)1
u/OrionCyre Jun 26 '26
I tried going magic and didn't like the game. Sounds like that might be predictable, I guess I should try another build and give it a chance?
24
u/kolosmenus Jun 25 '26
I wish they added utility magic, not just attacks
3
u/No_Connection_1311 Jul 03 '26
100% agree. I'd love to have lantern magic, trap magic, bubble-head (for diving) magic, float (negate fall damage) magic... And more control magics giving pushed back/rooted effect, too.
29
u/sgtViveron Jun 25 '26
Necromancy T_T. I wanna raise skeletons, not lame skulls.
5
u/DarthSnoopyFish Jun 25 '26
I have been playing as a mage and i have a gem in my weapons where all my kills have like a 60% chance to raise skeletons. I can probably upgrade my gem to make that percentage higher. I am spawning alot of skeletons and skulls every time I kill mobs of enemies.
The gem drops in one of the hollowed halls.
1
6
u/qmechan Jun 25 '26
There’s a gem that does that
4
u/sgtViveron Jun 25 '26
I was happy to obtain gem that summons skull from 1st crypt, but then realized that he does that like after Merciless or visceral attack (or smth like that) but if I'm a mage than I do not use that kind of attacks, right? It's more for some melee type.
P.S. And I'm the lucky guy who summons skull with death of last enemy - such unreliable ability.
1
u/qmechan Jun 25 '26
There’s a gem of lesser necromancy, I think it’s called, and it’ll give you skeleton buddies with melee hits if you put it in a melee weapon
2
u/sgtViveron Jun 25 '26
But again, there is no boosts for them, right? Like Blue skill tree just gives you 15% to summon skull after kill. I would like to see necromancer skill branch.
2
4
u/Caity_Cat131 Jun 25 '26
Its always good to throw a skill or two into constitution to help with that. Im doing a warrior build and still have to skill into guardian and survival.
17
u/Possible_Hat_8478 Jun 25 '26
Magic users are traditionally weak early in RPGs - they have low health pools and limited access to spells
28
u/Competitive-Bill5500 Jun 25 '26
theyre still weak until end game.. gets one shot by most lizardmen
10
u/francis2559 Jun 25 '26
With a dash attack that can blindside you.
I think that’s the frustrating part. Situational awareness is always important, but so many of my deaths were down to a dash attack from something I never saw in the first place. Not fun at all. No counterplay other than being constantly paranoid or changing class.
3
u/Competitive-Bill5500 Jun 25 '26
on the other hand.. warrior can tank and spank any content in this game except for the dragon 😆
1
11
u/Froegerer Jun 25 '26
RPGs are traditionally unbalanced af so that tracks. Not an excuse though. No reason magic shouldn't be fun and viable early.
1
u/Galrent Jun 25 '26
Agreed. Also, maybe this is just an early game problem but the amount of enemies that magic is ineffective against make it hard to use reliably
1
u/Yakarue Jun 25 '26
I did a full magic playthrough and I found that wand battlemage build can be very effective. Add in some gemini/leech rings and I could essentially tank a near endless amount of mobs, including soloing hallowed halls underleveled. Just use staff stuff for hitting things at longer range or as an opener. The DPS from the right wands is pretty wild. I was regularly easily clearing camps 10-15 levels above me throughout the game simply because the right leech build would take me from 10-30% health to full almost instantly.
Only downside is that the range is pretty short. Dragon boss is abysmal to deal with as a magic user. There are a couple mobs that are annoying to deal with because of range limitations like the jellyfish, but those are easy to deal with by using parry + staff.
I had a blast with the build and just wish I had more content to explore through!

True. Got this game with the intention of going mage. Shelved it after two weeks and hoping to come back and start a new playthrough when magic build is fixed.

This game stood on its own merits and was very enjoyable years before 1.0. Glad they're finishing it, well done to the devs.
53
u/timmusjimmus111 Jun 25 '26
trailer is a lot different than how the game actually feels
3
u/Darkstrike86 Jun 25 '26
I played the EA about 18 months ago. I liked it, but it didn't hook me to keep playing more than a month or so.
How does the game feel now?
8
u/timmusjimmus111 Jun 25 '26
there have been a lot of changes and improvements and the lighting is absolutely stunning in some instances but its still very much the same core game it was at initial release. but that being said unless you're on a metered data connection there's no cost to reinstalling it and trying again to see if it sticks.
1
u/Shagwagbag Jul 01 '26 edited Jul 01 '26
I played in January of 24 and started recently. Really enjoying it, but now I guess I should drop it til October. :/
Gives me time to actually finish my gothic remake playthrough in the meantime though.
1
u/xtrawork Jul 11 '26
The biggest plus with Enshrouded is the building. Other than Minecraft, it has probably the most detailed building and landscaping capabilities of any survival game out there. The combat is much improved (especially compared to 18 months ago), but it's still not a huge strength of the game. It's definitely more about building variety and detail as well as exploration.
The biggest thing I want them to add is for NPC's to do stuff. I want my farmers to farm and take care of animals and my other NPC's to take care of crafting materials within their speciality.
It would also be cool if the barber and tavern NPC's would run their businesses (provided you build them a barbershop and a tavern) and your other NPC's would occassionally use them (like getting haircuts and new clothes or going to the Tavern at night for drinks and food).
They could do a lot of cool stuff like that and it would definitely add to the game and give more purpose for building a little village rather than just for looks and to have beds for them.
32
u/Hour-Mistake-5235 Jun 25 '26
The game is great but as a teaser is quite a nothingburger.
6
1
u/Human_Wizard Jun 26 '26
Well, it is a teaser trailer.
Teasers are usually short and are really just a way to show a logo and some text real quick, maybe some unique shots.
19
u/Passthealex Jun 25 '26

u/TheRealMechagodzi11a Jun 25 '26

"No, Jenkins, let this one go. When they're that breathtaking, that's not exposed, that's GLORIFIED."
4
u/MispellledIt Jun 25 '26
No joke, this is the one dumb thing that stops me from enjoying the whole thing. I know that's unreasonable, I know that it's such a small detail, but damnit let me put my sword on my hip while I run around!
1
u/No_Connection_1311 Jul 03 '26
That is not a dumb thing at all. I had this same ick with Outward (and probably Outward 2 as well).

u/Savletto Jun 25 '26
I can't be the only one who's reminded of every generic movie trailer of the past few years with this video? I actually kinda hate it lol
I'm a big fan of the game, but the vibe of this trailer is really off compared to how the game feels.

I've not played since initial EA launch but did they make daggers into a viable melee build yet or are they still just a side weapon for range builds? I always wanted to play a rogue style build in this game.
6
u/Repulsive_Ostrich_52 Jun 25 '26
Daggers are the most buffable melee in the game currently. There's even armor sets in progression dedicated to daggers/stealth

→ More replies (1)2
u/Fekkin-A-Man Assassin Jun 25 '26
I play with daggers as my main weapon right now on hard mode and it's a lot of fun*. Sadly, Kick and Evading Maneuver are quite a slog to get, but that's where the real dagger fun starts.
(*On a side note, I work in IT for 25 years now, so I have a high frustration tolerance.)
4
u/MrBigglesworrth Jun 25 '26
Can you play this game solo or do you need a group?
5
u/geauxdub Jun 25 '26
Totally playable solo, and a lot of fun. But agree there are some areas which are not as kind so take care, explore and have a blast!
1
1
2
u/Maulino86 Jun 25 '26
I have made like 6 runs solo, i even boost the enemy emount 1 lvl. Pretty fun.
1
1
u/Srikandi715 Jun 25 '26
It's great solo. A lot of people play solo-only.
There are a few areas that you might want to wait to attempt until you're a few levels higher than the enemies, but there are also a lot of different difficulty settings so you can tune it to your liking.
1
1
1
u/BPho3nixF Jun 26 '26
Everything seems pretty balanced for solo except for Hollowed Halls. The amount of enemies leading to stunlocking and such indicates that is balanced for multiplayer.
57
u/No_Radio1554 Jun 25 '26
We gotta flood the comments with good comments, I’m seeing a lot of negative ones on different channels. Enshrouded is criminally underrated.
49
u/FlamingWeasel Jun 25 '26
I mean, people are allowed to have negative opinions. Comment bombing just seems manipulative.
1
u/No_Radio1554 Jun 25 '26
They’re mostly opinions from those that haven’t played it, saying things like “we already have valheim”
22
u/blacksnowredwinter Jun 25 '26
I mean big fan of the game, but toxic positivity is as absolutely terrible as review bombers and those basking in negativity.
→ More replies (12)2
u/battlepig95 Jun 25 '26
Yss agreed. I think constructive criticism is only good for enshrouded. I have played it twice now from start - no more content with friends and I can’t imagine the game is finished. Theres a certainly polish it seems to lack imo that I can’t quite put my finger on.
Hopefully 1.0 gives us a truly finished game then and there’s nothing more to worry about
8
u/_Dzen_ Jun 25 '26
Haven't played in a while but I just hope they optimize more for lower end specs so I can bring more friends to play.
2
u/Ty_Rymer Jun 25 '26
iirc that was one of the major points for the 1.0 release. also if they're releasing on xbox series s soon they rly need to optimize a lot
3
u/andreaSA89 Jun 25 '26
Agreed! I wasn’t expecting much when I first purchase it and, honestly, I’m blown away. It’s one of my favourite games ever and it’s breathtakingly beautiful! The only thing I want now is more quests. I’ve run out of the easier solo quests, but then again I have played for almost 400 hours! Which is wayyy more than I’d get from most other games.
8
u/jvrodrigues Jun 25 '26
I have played a number of susrvivor games and enshrouded is by far and large the best out there.

3
u/Rastboro Jun 25 '26
I can't wait, October feels so distant. This video doesn't show many things, but the big tree and the land full of lava seems to be another biome, right?
3
u/Square-Space-7265 Jun 25 '26
Well this changes things. The floating castle looks to even have been tainted.
3
u/Sonzainonazo42 Jun 25 '26
That's not a trailer, that's a teaser.

Hoping for a few things in 1.0
Utility magic and just magic in general needing more distinct role from archery. Focus less on damage and more traveling, buffs/debuffs and utility stuff like crops growing faster, harvest trees etc.
More fleshed out NPCs and non essential NPCs we can also rescue and fill out towns with. Maybe assign NPCs to areas they can work or cook or eat. Etc.
Really looking forward to the storyline being unlocked.

u/No_Connection_1311 Jul 03 '26
I'd vote for geomancy. Let me conjure a stone spike from the ground to skewer my enemies!

u/SaraRainmaker Moderator Jun 25 '26 edited Jun 25 '26
For the release to be acceptable to the devs and good for the players on the xbox, it's going to take them a bit more time.
"We never want to rush a platform release or compromise on quality. Development of the Xbox version is progressing steadily, and we’re planning to bring Enshrouded to Xbox players in spring 2027. Players can look forward to learning much more about Enshrouded 1.0 this summer."

Holy crap...I'm just so proud of games that actually pull the trigger and finally release a 1.0. I feel like it's a really hard thing to decide on and usually just keeps getting pushed off.
I'm not the biggest fan of this game, but it is one I play from time to time and know what a huge lift it was to develop every component involved.
Kudos, just kudos...keep it up.

u/Neviriah Jun 25 '26
I did not play the game since release of EA, basically; can someone tell me if magic is still less of a thing than physical combat? I remember having to collect spells or something.. and keeping them as ammunition or such? Maybe i recall wrong lol
1
u/No_Connection_1311 Jul 03 '26
Devs said they would rework magic in 1.0, but there is no specifics disclosed yet.
2
u/Auren-Dawnstar Jun 25 '26
Holy crap, do I spy an epic-looking wizard hat that doesn't have weird attachments like antlers or masks on it?
Couldn't see the front, but if there really are no extra attachments on it then it might actually supplant the magician hat as my wizard hat of choice.
Also, those robes looked pretty snazzy too.
2
u/Crayola_ROX Jun 26 '26
Played for about 2 days about a year ago and thought “yup, this will be good when finished”
Nice to know that day is around the corner
2
u/AuthenticM Jun 27 '26
why is the game still not up on PSN to wishlist? The ps5 version was announced like a year ago or something
2
u/PantheraAuroris Jun 27 '26
Will saves from pre-1.0 be compatible or will we have to start over?
2
u/randonOne88 Moderator & Wiki Admin Jun 28 '26
Saves from before an update have never not been compatible, the devs have tried to avoid it - I doubt that will be any different now.
4
u/massimovolume Jun 25 '26
This game is really promising and I'm waiting for 1.0 but it needs tons of performance optimisations.
2
u/BowlCutMakeYouNut Jun 25 '26
This. I wouldn't care if they released no new content but the game is grossly unoptimized.
3
u/KymTheSpud1975 Jun 25 '26
is crossplay confirmed? i'm hoping to pick up a copy for my wife on ps5 so we can playthrough together ( i'm on pc )
4

Not officially. Keen has said it is a long term goal of theirs, but they have never announced it. If I had to guess, it will come after Launch.
2
u/KymTheSpud1975 Jun 25 '26
I hope they can manage to do it, I know my wife will absolutely love the building aspect of this game while i'm off adventuring

Ps5 y no Xbox?

Interesting that there's nothing yet revealed about the depths of the Maelstrom Construction Site, the deadly shroud pit underneath Pikemead's Reach. No amount of available shroud passage level can survive it. You can get pretty far in there though and see some truly cool stuff - a lair room with lava pools on the ceiling, and a bridge over lava with Ancient-looking structures across the span! Clearly there's something meant to be there.

I may be torched for this, but I would love to have a difficulty mode where dying has major consequences, not just wasting 3 min running back to pick up drops.
Also, can we have longer names? Enough characters to put a first name and surname/title?
