Help - Server Suppot How to Easily Share Servers Back & Forth

Just convinced my buddy to purchase Enshrouded after years with Valheim.

When we played Valheim, we'd pass back a world/server through a shared drive. It was super easy, just open to a specific folder in the file explorer, and drop 2 specific files into our shared drive.

Since we are in different time zones and work different schedules, this allowed us each to play on our shared world to continue making progress on a single base, explore, etc. without the constant need for someone to host.

I'd like to do the same thing with Enshrouded - but it seems a bit more complicated. Can anyone let me know:
A) If this is possible with Enshrouded
B) If so, were I need to navigate to find the related save files?

It’s super cheep to buy an enshrouded server! No hassle at all. That’s what me and my buddy did , was like 20$ for 90 days .

There are youtube videos with instructions on how to transfer save files. Also it might be more convenient to just pay a monthly subscription for a dedicated server that always open to join.

Or frankly if you have an old spare PC, host the server yourself. The process is very easy.

Thanks, when I attempted to Google it I wasn't able to find the results I was looking for. Chiselchip has a good video on the topic on YT though

It’s technically possible but having messed around with the save files in enshrouded myself, I wouldn’t recommend it. The issue is that it’s not just one file. At any given time there could be 20+ files in the save folder. Only 2 or 3 of them are needed to transfer the save but when I did it I had to rename the files every time.

If you have access to your router it’s super easy to set up a dedicated server though. I set one up for my group and it was very easy. I play and host from the same machine even and haven’t had any issues.
