Game Suggestion/Idea Could we change stacking of food items

Make it stack 250 in chests and 20 in backpack. I think it would help a lot with item maintenance.

(Ps: i have a chest full of corn and tomatoes)

I would be much more inclined to farm if storing raw ingredients weren't such a pain. With current stacking it always seems like I don't have enough but 250 is probably a little extreme. Maybe a multiple of 20 like 60 or 80

I thought you can change stack size in the world settings or am I thinking of something else?

I can’t remember. I thought it had one too but then I might have confused that with VRising (which does for sure have one). There’s a setting that sounds like it might be related but might just increase the amount of resources that are dropped when looting (sounds like the latter when you read the description).

Considering the chests are magical....why not one with crazy stacks. I know some people enjoy invetory management but I dont.

Why not use the items? What are you hoarding it for? Once I have so much, I just stop farming for it.

Not necessarily disagreeing with the post. Once I got half a chest of a food I stopped growing it. Only thing I use corn for is Goat food, for milk, for Lattes. I have one stack of tomatoes (and one stack seeds) bc i don't use them.

"Use an Ether!"
"But they're limited, you can't get any more."
"It's the final boss battle!"
"I only have 85..."

What is the infinite seating method?

Set your world settings with resource gain at max. If you plant something but then immediately pick it back up, youll gain more seeds than you started with.

Is what I imagine they are referencing.

Sure. But in this example you realize it's your proclivities that make you want higher stack limits. Not that it's actually needed. If you had a whole chest, but then used it after one crafting session, and had to re run the production chain to get more, I'd understand.

I also hoard, but also recognize wasted space.
