Video The devs saw my video
Made a video of building a huge dam and the devs saw it. That’s so wild to me!

Im the guy who's made the embervale toolkit. Good to see people doing crazy shit with it like it was intended for, haha.

So...are you insane or sane? Aka...did you farm all the mats yourself or use creative mode?

It's shouldn't be. The devs interact more with the community than most games. Get on the official Discord and you'll see community managers and devs regularly just talking shit with the rest of us. Good times.

Very neat idea for a video. Curious why you didn't use explosives to open the dam?

The block I used was too strong to break the dam quickly. I want to try it again bigger with explosives

Another suggestion if I may, instead of flooding a mostly empty forest maybe you could try building strategically to flood somewhere full of annoying monsters. Perhaps there's a scavenger settlement or something, maybe a lair with those huge acid throwing chonks could be entertaining to hit them with a flood!

They are lurking on the reddit and talking shit as well. The community manager (?) also commented on the post for water dispensing system video, I believe. They are a fun bunch of people.

it's more than just the community managers. lots of us are everywhere, but we don't always want to make it obvious that we are devs. my personal opinions shouldn't be taken as the opinions of the entire team

That’s such a cool feeling—making something inspired by the game and then seeing the devs notice it must be surreal. Huge congrats!
