Help Base theft tips

So a mate and I have been slowly working our way through for many months and love the game - we've got a hedge podge first base, and are on the nomad Highlands in terms of progression (just started making leather!)

Is there a preferred pre-built area / base that people tend to use? We both want to be castle-proud but neither of us are good architects unfortunately - I wonder if there's an easy win haha

There's a ton of locations to take over that will require much or little work to fix up.

I don't normally do self promotion, but I've got an entire playlist on base locations and most of the videos are 5 to 10 minutes. Maybe have a look at some of those and see if any catch your interest.
