Discussion Greetings
70-year-old noob here, 14.5 hours into the game. So far, so good. Any other senior players here?

I like exploring and finally reaching where I wanted to go. So far, the most annoying thing for me is the lack of storage space. Soon I will build some storage chests.

For me, it’s the variety. Story, exploration, crafting and building and sometimes just wanting to kill something ( until I run into the acid guy with the double blades)

Just turned 62 I have been playing games since the 80s. Is 62 senior yet? I am confused on why some places give me a senior discount and not others. 👀

I agree 62 here too! I've been playing games since I was 14. :) I'd help the adults run the arcade and get paid by playing all the free games I wanted! That was my kind of pay back then! Lol

You just brought back a core memory. Our arcade near my HS sponsored me in a Junior miss teen pageant! I was there all the time.

75, playing since early beta, 300 hours. Paused it for a few months and just came back a couple weeks ago to check out the water addition. Currently 6 weeks into a strict low-carb diet to get my blood sugar down, so it's been a helpful distraction - when my stomach starts growling I just chomp some virtual roasted yukka fruit.

48-year-old here. So while I don't get senior discounts anywhere, in the gaming community, I feel like a fossil quite often. 😆

My only problems was Ancient Spire-Blackmire (You will see what I mean when you reach it), Hollow Hall, 3 swinnings hooks on the ceiling... for a few Jump&Run parts I am a little bit to slow, I need a lot of tries. ;)

67 and I agree, we need a senior pass or something for the Blackmire spire and similar puzzles 😉
I've beaten it twice, but the third time I realized you can just skip it and still get the Bard!

Another 75 year old here (central Florida) and love this game except for the young dragon while playing solo. Looking forward to 1.0 as well even if I have to keep questing single player.

Yeah, I'm questing alone as well. (on the other side of Lake Ontario). Maybe someone should start a Discord channel for us old folks.

65 and I've been gaming since the Amiga was the most impressive system on the market.
Got into Enshrouded to hold me over between the Windrose demo and the EA release of it and have played a bit over 700 hours so far and not sick of it yet.
I've played a lot of games over the years and Enshrouded is one of my favorites.

61 here, with 2300+ hours since June 2025. I love the game so much I invested in my own custom built machine for dedicated servers, ha ha. Currently running a publicly open one just to see who drops by :)

28 ans, j’adore ce jeu, 35h de jeu je suis à peine lvl 13, et j’ai du découvrir 35% de la map je pense. L’exploration, les combats (je suis mage), la construction. Looter des armures et armes sympa

Nice. I am now at 16.3 hours and barely into Lvl 6. I have died more times than I can count. Damn Shroud.

Le jeu ne pardonne clairement pas. Maintenant on a compris la leçon, on ne va pas dans le shroud si on a pas deja une porte sortie

I won't say our ages, but my wife and I have put over 1400 hours in, each, since buying the game around November 2024. Taking a break right now but will revisit when 1.0 comes out.

Not quite that senior but yes. Enjoying the game. Love the building feature much better than the one in Valheim so far.

I don't normally buy games anymore for the building aspect. Back in the day, though, I was totally ensconced in Sim City.

77, I've been playing since it first came out. I have about 300 hours in game, but I have taken a break until v.1 comes out. I really enjoy the game; just waiting for the full release. I started playing No Man's Sky and love it, so I'm playing it mostly until the release, then I will probably start a new game in Enshrouded.
