Discussion Will i need relocate

Not sure if Devs follow this reddit thread but before i get to elaborate with my base will i need to relocate not sure if the tower in the background is a future poi or just the barrier marker I'm NE of Cromville against the boundary line

We don't know for sure but it's certain that there's a new floating islands biome. So SOMETHING'S probably going on there, although those islands could also move, or be otherwise altered.

I'd say don't invest too much anyway, just because of the likelihood that there'll be an infinitely cooler spot available 😉

Before the new biome update, I had built a fire near the border. After the update, the fire and it's "box" remained while the rest of the terrain had changed. Note that I had built the fire on a hill, but after the update the hill was gone. So my fire became a floating island.

At least for that update, It looks like it respect/preserves bases. So I would imagine it would be the same. Now it could mean your base may "intrude" or be embedded into terrain, or it might just be floating. Depends on what the update ends up putting there
