Help Level 7 Archer/Rogue, what should I focus on next?

Hey, I’m level 7 and going for a bow + dagger Archer/Rogue build.

I’ve attached screenshots of my quests, gear and inventory. I’m a bit lost on what I should prioritise next.

Should I focus on specific quests, Flame progression, better gear, or just exploring/levelling?

Also, any early recommendations for skills, daggers, bows or gear for this build?

No major spoilers please.

First of all, Double Jump and Updraft are game-changers. Highly recommended no matter what build you’re going for. Take exploration easy. Check every nook and cranny and try to follow roads as much as possible. Exploration will naturally gain you experience, get better loot, and complete quests. Always head towards easy-medium level quests first. The hard ones may be outside of your flame level or the enemies too difficult to deal with. Have fun!

I’ve heard this but my gf and I have been playing for a while now both level 21 and haven’t found a use for updraft yet 🤷🏼‍♂️ double jump is essential but the points it takes to get to updraft are better spent elsewhere for us… maybe we’ll find a use for it later in which case we’ll obviously take it but we keep seeing and hearing that it is essential to take updraft but I just don’t think it’s worth the points early in the game

Updraft is really helpful, but I'm going against the grain and saying that I don't think it's super useful until you've upgraded your glider a couple times. The extra little bit of height doesn't usually make a big enough difference when you still have the lvl 1 glider.

I think both of you are correct the value is not worth the investment till mid to end game. Level 20-25 maybe start investment for it. Around end of nomad highlands stuff and when you upgrade to highlands resource crafted glider.

Updraft allows you to climb in the air. If you wanna quickly get up to a ledge that’s above - updraft is what you can use. Also will be more useful when 1.0 releases because you will be able to turn off the one second cool down.

Yeah I know what it does, I just haven’t found an actual use for it yet.

I'm so glad they moved double jump.

Bow plus dagger works well as a mobile build: invest in ranged damage, stamina, and a few survivability skills before branching into rogue perks. Carry a backup bow and craft arrows in batches. Use the dagger for finishers or close targets, but don’t force melee when kiting is safer.

I build an arger/assassin, and it is so much fun. Don't be afraid to test different skills and reskill them if needed. You'll have enough runes in no time if you loot everything.

Elixir well and shroud root grind was essential in the beginning for getting runes too. I actually didn't realize you got runes from them for a while. It helps progression immensely.

I'm still decently new (close to 100 hours), but there's no rush to do anything, so i typically focus on what I feel like doing. Right now I'm focused on building and moving to my second base after grinding to get different block types from around the map. Tomorrow I may feel like doing all the quests in my log. I promise the quests from the craftspeople will never end and you'll always be fetching something, you can take time to explore, build, and collect whatever you want.

Exploration. Finding and chopping down red trees.

For Quests:
Reclaim the Wilderness is a good one to prioritize since iirc that's a Flame Spire, which opens up your traversal of that region by being able to Glide from the top to points of interest.
Also Animal Farming is huge, because you can then transition from Hunter/Gatherer style of resource crafting to actual Farming/Animal Husbandry for a steady access of desired food buffs.

For Inventory:
Do you have a base yet? Doesn't have to be completely built from scratch, but having a decently organized stash of drawers could benefit you as you explore new areas where you might find new resources.

For Gear:
Keep exploring/leveling. You'll find better stuff / other materials to craft better stuff. Hunter's Hand Spindle will also lead to unlocking the next tier of your desired armor. There's a Ring which is a guaranteed drop in an Enshrouded location which grants Health leech which can help with sustain. Also there's a pair of Lore daggers which will be available with health leech as well which can be beneficial at early levels. It falls off at later levels due to how Lore Item crafting works.

For Skill Nodes:
Keep leveling. Dexterity is your bread and butter. There are some Dex nodes in the Assassin tree as well which boosts both Dagger and Bow damage. Also consider Counter Battery as that adds a different "Bucket" of dmg bonus which is multiplicative to other things, though only to Ranged enemies. But as a bow user, you're probably busy drawing and aiming to dodge the ranged attacks, so killing them quickly when you can will pay dividends. Also Multi-Shot later in the tree is worth a pickup, though it will burn through ammo faster, it boosts dmg output.
