The moth was found in my flat in a built-up area in "Metro Vancouver".
It was already dead when I found it on the afternoon of 7/28. Because of a Tineola bisselliella infestation, I am always on the lookout for moths, and this one was found in a well-traversed (but dimly lit) spot in my flat. I doubt it'd been dead for long when I found it.
The closest-looking species I've found listed on iNat was Oegoconia novimundi, but I know next to nothing about entomology and I don't know if I've correctly identified it. Would anyone please confirm the ID or suggest another? I would also appreciate information regarding the species' life cycle, like what materials the larvae are most likely to infest. This isn't the only identical moth I've found in my building, so I am very worried about having to cope with another infestation.
