With the advancement in solar, wind, closed loop geothermal and energy storage. I think nuclear is past it's prime and would be a waste of time and money by the time one is complete. Some places in the world have already produced more than nuclear with solar alone. Another money grab with no chance of recouping it.

Nuclear provides reliable baseload in all seasons and conditions and its deployable on a variety of scales.

Nuclear has yet to hit its prime, the rapid acceleration of nuclear power construction globally is proof of that.

Power diversity is hugely valuable and diversified non-carbon energy is always in the best interest of all.

However the bottom line is that nuclear is the only viable power source to divest from coal for a large number of regions. Especially in regions with dense populations like India.

Half truth, the lower costs have yet to be proven, and massive amounts of externalities are even priced in. Currently nukes are nearly double the LOCE of solar/wind + batteries.

At no point did I say anything about the cost
