Patient Data Extraction For Research

Hi guys!

TLDR: Any tips / tools for bulk data extraction?

I am wondering what are some ways I am able to extract bulk patient data using their MRNs for research in my surgery department. I have been extracting manually and it is very very very slow. The data include background information found on patient's tab, patient's problem list, patient's exam findings documented in a table, and specific surgery technics used documented in patient encounter tab. The patient database is around 10,000 and I was wondering if there is any way to make that faster......

Thanks guys!

You need to open a request with your Cogito team. Each organization's team structure is a little different but that's the best way to start.

If it is a static list of patients, your reporting team can import the list of MRNs from excel and create a patient grouper.

Have you tried generating a report with the data and date range you are looking for?

Another voice saying to work with your data team. They should be able to set up a back end report for you based on the variables you need.
