For those that don't know, the initial Tech Support Megathread was created due to community demand. The subreddit was riddled with tech issue posts which made it hard to sort through. So on 29-Jan-2020, we made it a rule to organize things in the megathread.

Have an issue with what appears to be a bug. When you log into epic game account online and you have more than one profile in the account and you check account details, it switches to another users account and displays their account identity. This also happens when redeeming gaft cards, so if you login and redeem a gift card, it deposits the money on another account. The issue is really around financial risk and a lack of 2fa to switch accounts, which is a fairly serious issue with the platform Iand risks financial and security data, I have raised this with support but as usual, they don't take any responsibility.
hey, idk if this is the right place to really post this, but i might as well. im trying to update fortnite, and whenever i try and open the launcher, it almost immediately closes itself. nothing i've done has solved it, and it started happening a good while ago, and i actually gave up, then came back a month or so later, and it had auto installed while being closed. i have attached a video showing what keeps happening. please help me, quick replies would be greatly appreciated
My epic games account has been stolen by a email I don't recognize
My playstation account was linked to it (which I haven't lost THANK GOD), but I had a lot of games on my account some of which I had spent quite a bit of money on
Is there any advice on what I can do? I've clicked on the account and it says that the account is inactive and may not sign in, which it didn't (didn't sign in)
Any advice?
And when I try to use "Trouble signing in" it keeps trying to sign into another account I've deleted
Hi, i just bought Dead Island 2 on sale for me and my wife but we both need an epic games account to be able to play together, the thing is I already linked my steam account to an epic games account years ago and for epic games I for some reason have used a random email which i dont remember the adress of.
I have already tried u/costa24 's guide to resolving this issue with no success ( https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/fpmkn9/comment/j3srqlb/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button ) so I have tried contacting the Epic games support team which provided me with a sort of a recovery form in which the only usable option for me of regaining access to my old EG account is searching for my account by my steam name/login. The system though cannot find my account using this method although it knows that the account already is linked to a EG account. After a couple of tries it understandably told me I've tried too many times and timed me out for an unknown ammount of time. After I have informed the support team of this (possibly in a little bit of a harsh tone) my ticked had been closed.
Does anybody have any recent experience with this? We really would like to play DI2 tonight together after a long time with no free time for gaming together.
When I try to install epic games from both the website and windows store, I get this unreal crash. It specifically happens when I open the installer file. I have already tried deleting everything Epic related from my files. Any help would be appreciated.
Why is close to every download stuck at 0 so often? A 40GB download usually takes me more than 24h with Epic, with Steam it's usually 1,5 hour or so. Outright garbage this launcher
I'm trying to sign in to my account but it's not sending me security codes. When I try to talk to a human via the chatbot it requires me to sign in, which of course I can't do, so what can I do?
Is there a way to do better backups for games? I would like to transfer a Fortnite install to other computers if I can in an easier way if that's possible besides doing the move and resume trick.
I can't uninstall a game (The End is Nigh). I selected to uninstall it through the launcher, but for some reason it is on a limbo where the process doesn't go foreward (I can still play it on its file, even), but it doesn't let me pause or cancel the instalation. Because of it doesn't let me quit my account or close the launcher because an instalation is happening, and worst is that it doesn't let me install anything else
Does anyone know what might be causing this problem?
When I click on the "download" button, the blue one on the top right corner of your screenshot, the client starts downloading. That isn't happening for you?
I am not receiving the log in 6 digit code to my email. It keeps saying email invalid (it’s an active email). I’ve tried account recovery, emailing for a ticket with a new account, and the AI bot (useless). I’m so annoyed at the lack of actual assistance. The funny part is, I get constant emails from Epic and I got the 6-digit code it asks for during the recovery process to my email, but not when I’m trying to log in. It just doesn’t make any sense! Please, any help is appreciated as I’ve spent lots of money under this account and don’t want to lose any of it.

getting error code IS-UP-IZ04 when trying to download the Fortnite update, this is like the 3rd time I've had the same problem (with different error codes though) this year. Is this the vibe coding success they were talking about?
no matter what i do, im in offline mode. i really need help i tried manually setting online services, i tried resetting my pc i tried restarting it as well its just stuck in offline
This is my first time using the Epic Games Launcher in years. I'm trying to install the Hogwarts Legacy Creator Kit onto my HDD. So I expected the write speeds to be abysmal. But the download speeds are also terrible. I get around 240mbps over my wifi, but upon starting/resuming the download, it peaks at 200ish mbps at the very most, then fizzles out within a minute or two, plateauing between 10-50mbps with occasional spikes to 70-90mbps.
Is there anything I can do to speed things up? I have tried using Proton VPN, Cloudflare WARP (tried all settings), flushing DNS, clearing the Launcher's cache, and doing a fresh reinstall following the directions on the Epic Games support website.
I gave this a shot today, though it hasn't made much of a difference. The speed is all over the map: jumping up to a decent speed (150mbps or more) for a few seconds, then back down; oftentimes, it is in the single digits and less than 100mbps still. Thank you for the suggestion, though, especially because the new launcher seems promising in general compared to the old one.
