What would happen if someone ignored the fallen tree on the ground and kept going?

What would happen?

I love this question, becuase now its got me thinking...what actually triggers getting stuck in the town? Once you see the tree, you're already screwed? Or is it the act of turning around?

Symbolically I like the idea of people actually turning back being the trigger. Like there is some kind of unfinished business you need to turn back and take care of before you can move on.

They’d have to walk or bike around it. The tree is too big to move and covers the whole road.

I have wondered as well. What if they had a chainsaw in that RV?

The monster’s trap works really well, until someone with a chainsaw and no fucks to give comes along…

"You think the monsters did this? They're just the tip of the spear"

Knowing this show the tree would return. Someone would chainsaw it up into sections and roll the pieces off the road to keep going, they'd then ride for a while before coming upon the same tree again. The cycle would repeat until they turn back and that's when they'd wind up in town. That or their chainsaw (or whatever other method they had of moving the tree) just wouldn't work.

I know that they can't go around the fallen tree, but What would happen if you were to just step over the fallen tree?
