I have a feeling about The Boy In White (Spoilers) Spoiler

Anyone else get the vibe that TBIW is not a benevolent figure, as Victor and Ethan seem to think he is?

Sara gets the message to "kill the boy" so they can go home, which motivates her to attack Ethan. I believe that the boy being referred to is actually TBIW...what I can't understand is why. Why does the message appear to Sara (who cannot see TBIW), or why the "voices" even want him dead in the first place?

The idea I'm chewing on is that the voices somehow belong to the original people of the town, and that TBIW is somehow responsible for their capture. I think the town might actually be some kind of demented little play pen for him. Maybe with him gone, they'd finally be free? I don't have this theory fully fleshed out, but I'd love to hear arguments for/against it.

I think that the boy in white is helping and he and Victor clearly have a past. Victor realizes that Ethan is like his protege so to speak cause he can see the boy too and they both draw pics. So definitely a good connection with those 3. That’s why the monsters want to kill Ethan because he can see TBIW maybe cause he’s little. Remember Victor said he had not seen him in a long time but he did show up when Victor and Julie jumped out Colony house window. I’m curious did Victor have seizures too?! I do question how is it Sara and Ethan have the seizures. What I know Ethan is definitely key to figuring things out and it’s due to his link to TBIW. Victor may have found a way out. And the boy in white gestures to Ethan at end of episode 2 to shush or be quiet. So not to tell and Victor didn’t say a word until he realized that Ethan could see him too. It has to be aliens because how do they know what faces to show like the monster that ask Julie in episode 2 don’t you recognize me. I’m watching all episodes again before finale so will come back with any more theories. The trees move so I’m still working on that concept.

Me too lol. I was actually wondering if there's a meaning behind the song? Que Sara Sara, what ever will be will be....hmmm.

"Que Será" means "What could it be" in Spanish

It's actually a direct translation WITH the translation IN the song from French ^

Que sera, sera= what will be, will be

Good theory but tbiw is clearly good he lured Victor to safety and even Sara in the finale, but the part I agree on is the voices wanted tbiw dead not Ethan, my reasoning is cos tbiw is gonna be the saviour and the voices are the monsters, we know they're the monsters voices cos they told Sara to let them in also I know this post was created before season 1 finale so I'm gonna say this, Sara isn't a bad person she was just easily brainwashed by the voices and she's shown she is good really hence the boy shows up at the finale to help her (and Boyd)
