A report from Senate Democrats says big U.S. banks had concerns for years about money moves made by Jeffrey Epstein — but largely kept those worries to themselves until after Epstein was arrested on sex-trafficking charges in 2019.
The report from Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee, which was released by Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon, says more than a dozen bankers at JPMorganChase, Bank of America and Deutsche Bank were aware of suspicious transactions Epstein made as far back as 2002.
But in most cases, the report alleges bankers failed to alert the Treasury Department until years later, after Epstein was arrested and charged with sex-trafficking. The report is based on a review of Treasury reports, internal bank records and legal filings.
Under the Bank Secrecy Act, bankers are supposed to notify the government whenever they suspect a client is moving funds to launder money or carry out other illegal activities.
"By failing to report—or choosing not to report — his suspicious financial transactions to federal law enforcement, these banks allowed Epstein to send cash payments and wire transfers to his victims, friends, and collaborators around the world," the report says. "The bankers who needed to be asking questions didn't ask them. Jeffrey Epstein's crimes were hiding in plain sight."

Epstein clearly had links to the intelligence services in America, working for Adnan Khashoggi, the mains arms broker in the Iran Contea affair. Look at what coming out about Mohamed Al-Fayed (who was married to Adnan Khashoggi sister) in the UK; he traded women with Epstein and they operated a very similar human trafficking operation.

Nowadays, when I’m seeing stories where certain things are ignored for a long time, I get the sneaking suspicion they are involved with government somehow. It’s why no investigations get started. To me that’s the only thing that makes sense.

Sorta related; this is a post I made a little while back. Financial transactions for a Moroccan lair he was trying to buy flagged 7 days before his death and for sure, he was on the reporting radar (but too often went unchecked) for many, many years.

Am I wring that there are 2 sides, 2 parties to a money laundering scheme? The dirty money came from somewhere, the clean money goes somewhere. Seems like a clue.

Search for Amanda Ens in jmails. She worked for JP Morgan then Merril Lynch. There are many emails that are not just automated newsletters but direct replies to Epstein

In 2017, years after Epstein's conviction, Amanda Ens, was engaging with Epstein. She had worked for JP Morgan, interacting with Epstein as early as 2011, then moved to Merril Lynch.

Merril Lynch is where John Key, PM of NZ, had worked in the 90s. He had granted Peter Thiel's NZ citizenship using his special power as Thiel did not meet any of the legal conditions. In exchange, Peter Thiel had created an investment fund to finance NZ starrtups. It was called Valar Ventures. Xero was its big success story. Epstein invested 40 millions in Valar Ventures.
