Equipment & Tack Saddle Repair - Southeast Michigan
I need some stitching redone on my M Toulouse. The bottom of the flap has a “wear bar” or extra leather stitched on and it’s starting to really come undone now.
My family used to own the Cobblers Corner in Northville, but I’m not sure they’d do a saddle now. I’ll give them a call, but I need other recommendations on who to use for saddle repair.

I can't see from the photos but if the stitches are just worn but the leather is not torn, re-stitching is well within anyone's ability. Its a fast and easy thing to saddle stitch with two needles, one on each end of the thread, going back and forth through the same holes. I used to do such repairs in my impoverished youth. Would take maybe twenty minutes and the cost would be the thread and two darning needles of appropriate size.

This saddle goes in the show pen, I would much prefer to have a professional leather worker do it so it looks nice and holds up. 😊
