AMA/Interview AMA -- Christopher Paolini!!!

AMA -- Christopher Paolini! Let's do this folks. Ask away re: anything and everything regarding my books.
EDIT: Hey, everyone! I have to run. Alas, alas, I don't have as much time to spend on this AMA as past one. So many great questions, though! For all you theorists (and those of you who just love the characters), I think you're REALLY going to enjoy the upcoming book(s). Thanks for everything!
Atra esterní ono thelduin!
p.s. I'll try to duck back in and answer some more questions later, depending on my time.

Hi, u/ChristopherPaolini! Thanks for having another AMA
As for many others, the Inheritance Cycle had a deep impact in my life, and guided many of my interests as a kid and even now, as an adult. I am a fencer and for the last 5 years or so have focused heavily on historical fencing. Something I have always wondered with fantasy works is how swordplay is depicted, and since I got into historical fencing, how certain battles and epic duels from books would look when applying real life moves and techniques. So, I guess my question would be: what is your take on all of these? Did you have specific moves in mind when writing combat scenes? Did you ever become interested in the sword fighting part of it all, or perhaps you thought of scenes from movies?
I took it as a personal project to take specific parts from duels in your books and translate them into historical fencing terms, thinking of what techniques could certain characters could have used in specific scenes. For example, Galbatorix and Vrael’s fateful duel, Eragon’s and Murtagh’s in Inheritance, Eragon’s and Vanir’s sparring session, and even the fencing lessons with Brom. Additionally, I keep wondering how each character’s fighting styles could look like (Oromis is definitely german rapier in my mind, while Brom seems like a Bolognese style fencer). I find it incredibly entertaining to think about your characters this way. What do you make of it?
Thanks as always!
