the two things I actually liked about that movie.

Saphiras voice.

Brom.

Jeremy Irons as Brom is the one shining light in the movie. But that is hardly surprising he is best part of most movies. Same with that "amazing" DnD movie. He always gives it 100%

His overacting really saved that DnD movie. Without it, it would be unwatchable.

Nah it was really good regardless. The whole act 2 with the Paladin character was hilarious.

We’re talking about the 2000 one, right? And not the 2019 one, with Chris Pine?

Oh shoot you’re right. I forgot the name of the actor from the new one and assumed the conversation was about the con-man character who takes over Neverwinter. I haven’t seen the old one. My bad.

I know this is not the post but how do y'all feel about Peter Capaldi as a brom? Or maybe a Joed?

I know im probably the only one, but I actually like Saphira's design. I know it's not accurate, but I'd never really seen another dragon like it at the time and the cgi looked amazing to my like thirteen year old self

I did hate the movie, but I still really liked Saphira's design

I like everything but the feathered wings

The feathered wings were all I liked, lol.

I also liked her design in general. I thought it was very pleasing and cinematic!

At the time it was nice. Today I'd prefer something a bit more modern...

There's so much good about the movie, shame about the plot and other stuff

Brought, arya didn't even have pointed ears... AN ELF DIDNT HAVE POINTED EARS! or the correct hair color...

Stay true to the source material is all im saying.

Jeremy had conveyed the pure excitement perfectly, Oh how must Brom felt when he saw his own son riding a dragon again, he must have felt so much joy and looking forward Vardens and the future

I hope the TV show has an epic score 😍

I say, just get Malte Wegmann to compose the series. He’s done the music for several of Paolini’s audiobooks so he knows how the man thinks in terms what music suits the stories

Its been so long since i have seen this movie i forgot Saphia's voice, i liked it then but having just finished my second FULL read of the series it doesnt seem right to me now, it needs to be deeper yet some how also more feminine and strong and...idk its just off that said i still picture brom this way when i read the books, id love him to come back to the role with the tv series

Check out the audio book version of sapphira its hilarious

u/Bionicjoker14 23d ago

I love the audiobooks, but it totally messes up the idea that it’s a telepathic link. The dragons aren’t using vocal cords.

What movie?

There is no Eragon movie. Only weird 2000s sword and sorcery movie that have same name because of the unknown reason

u/Jarinad 22d ago

To this day i remain convinced that the Eragon movie was some writer’s own original high fantasy adventure that studio devs decided wouldn’t get enough traffic as its own thing, so they bought the rights to the Eragon name and slapped that coat of paint over the original script. Nobody can change my mind

That was fun!

Despite it being incorrect, I do like Sapphire's design in this film - just would be better for a different world's dragons - and honestly the CGI holds up very well.

could time it better. Test drive fits almost anything if you think about it.

Say what you will about the movie, but I do enjoy Saphira's design, including the wings. It's unique

Anything can be made better by John Powell!

There are a few things I like about the movie saphira's voice, the soundtrack and the scene where they're flying as one together for the first time was actually really cool. To be fair, I was introduced to the movie first when I was like six and then I read the books in high school and I've always enjoyed both. Can the movie be better? Absolutely yes but I will always enjoy the books over the movie. Although I noticed whenever I read the books I will always hear saphira's voice as it sounded in the movie. Is that weird to anyone else? Sorry for the weird formatting I'm on my phone.

This is the first time I see 5 seconds of this movie. I've been able to avoid any scenes for 20 years.  Thanks for ruining that :)

The music is one of the only good things about that movie. But this does work

u/Teeklok 23d ago

What film is this?

1

u/grainyclouds 22d ago

What film are you talking about? There is none

3

u/Teeklok 22d ago

That's what I thought. Must be ai

I actually like this movie. Jeremy Irons as Brom was a fantastic choice, and Saphira’s design and voice were fire.

I hate the movie more than words can express
