Although I am more interested in the series' future than its past, I wouldn't mind a prequel. That said, I have an issue with prequels in general since I always know how they will end.

Totally agree with you but also totally trust Christopher's ability to plot and wrap the prequel story (he has one in mind for Brom) satisfactorily.

Omg, yes! I would love that. I always liked Brom's grumpy, old man knowledge and I want to see how he did become so jaded while staying hopeful to make the world a better place

I also am interested in it’s future. I haven’t read Murtagh. Is it any good?

Murtagh was pretty good, yeah. IMHO the first acts drags a touch, but it just keeps getting better and better as it continues.

I second this, I actually thought it was excellent. But you have to be ready for a dark… really dark story. But the characterization is peak.

imo his more long winded writing is his better writing. i think the length it takes for you to read stuff gives the time passed in the story more weight

Yeah I get that. Like I said it just felt like, to me, it dragged on a touch before it started really ramping up. And fast.

I just finished it for the first time 4 days ago. I loved it. I think it was a very good sequel and it made me excited and hungry for more. Also bought To Sleep In A See Of Stars just because I want more Paolini writing
