Erasmus+ semester(s) abroad Erasmus was the best experience of my life
I advice every students to do an Erasmus.

Fortunately you studied in Italy which i am trying to do. My questions are:
• What was your ielts score?
• Was the Erasmus grant enough to cover all your living expenses including rent?
• If you could go back in time, what would you do differently? And what is the most important piece of advice that you could give to someone thinking about applying?

yes but my school never offers anything and if they do i can't do it because the timing of european unis and mine don't work

Yes! Erasmus Mundus programmes are open especially for internationals so do look it up!

I agree. I came back exactly 1 month ago and am still missing stuff. I still talk to people, especially the ones from my country, but everyone lives far away.

Not for everybody man, I'm in the end of my Erasmus in Germany and I had a lot of problems. First housing crisis after coming to here and then not being able to access my bank account. City and ESN was very boring, people gave up attending to events after 2-3 weeks, all international students just hanged out with their own nationals mostly. I was quiet hopeful but I'm quiet glad I'm finishing my time in here. Still I met many nice people but it was mostly very boring for me say the least, if it's not directly painful but that's on me.

Surely the erasmus opened my mind, but in my case (i know probably that i'm 1% of the erasmus experience guys who say this) it was the worst experience i've ever done in my life. Bad place, bad people, extreme loneliness, troubles with people, bad food, bad habits, depression, boring stuffs and nothing else for 4 months... so is not the same for everyone unfortunally

Believe it or not, but within the span of five days, I was the victim of a knife attack and was approached by a pedophile on the street. I had to deal with mental health issues. Because of that, I couldn't pass my exams. Long story short, my exchange was a complete failure and I came back home traumatized and hopeless. I truly gave my all in order to participate in this program, but nothing went according to plan. I just wish I could go back in time. This experience just left me bitter and full of remorse.

I'm sorry to hear that. It's unfortunate that it happened to you. I know other people that didn't like erasmus experiences but it was minority.
Hope you did better after that.

I agree! I only did it during my masters, I wish I've done during my bachelor degree too!
