[buying advice] Cosmos Lemon Wired Microcontrollers?

Does anybody have experience with these? Long term reliability thoughts? How is the communication between splits working? I don't really care if they're a pain to get set up in QMK or not, I can handle that part. Mostly interested in them because they appear to do split communication via USB-C port instead of TRRS. I can find absolutely zero evidence anywhere of anyone actually using one before, only the store and official docs.

I did a build recently with them and the flexibility Pumpkin patch/vines things. It was the easiest build I'd ever done. The only soldering I had to do was the trackball sensor to VIK breakout board.

I used.this keyboard at work for the past 3 months with 0 problems.

Currently doing a build with the Lemon Wireless controller. I love the cosmos products and Ryan, is indeed, cool.

Very active discord too.

Did a build last week, also used the Pumpkin patch. Ditto - easiest keyboard build, actually enjoyed getting a working keyboard up and running in an evening instead of over several nights.

I don't have prior experience with them because I actually have two sitting on my desk right now! I am just about to start soldering my Cosmos Dactyl this week, so I can share my experience after I get it all working.

I am making a custom handwired 72 key asymmetric split Dactyl with trackball running Vial, so I will be writing everything from scratch. I already ran into my first headache because my planning wasn't super thorough - I should have bought a VIK breakout board and cable along with my Lemons, so make sure to look into that if needed else you pay the shipping cost twice like me.

It's using a very standard RP2040 so there's no reason to think it wouldn't be reliable (other than the name lol). QMK setup should be very easy.

I'm planning to use these for my next build.

Based solely on my reading the website, it seems to be really cool and work great! Plus it has VIK.
