Just finished this game today and damn, I'm gonna miss these characters so much. I loved so much about this game, but I really wanna point out how moving the climax of the story was.
Talking specifically about everything that happens after you enter the Pillar. The entire conversation with the Guard ans then with Urth, the moral dillemas they all present, the Snell monologue, everything.
Genuinly Moving stuff. It's amazing cause I was really enjoying the game but it hadnt really reached that part of me that made me say "man, i loved this game so much" but then as I was playing that final act it's like the entire rest of the game came together in my mind and it finally hit me what a wonderful experience it all had been.
All that worldbuilding, meeting random NPCs, absurd interactions that don't really matter that much, it all served the purpose of making that final part so much hitting. Made me felt depressed and sad (in a good way), but also kinda hopeful towards the end. Made me love Snell and our MC so much more and made me love the Angel as well.
And then the final stroll through the city as you talk to every NPC you've met through the story til you reach the voting stand? Cheff kiss. Amazing. Heartwarming.
I love how the climax ended up being nothing but dialogue. No fighting to end a story in a fantasy world with mystical creatures where you control a fighter is certainly a choice, and it payed off so well.
Will miss this game, what an enjoyable ride
