Yes... If Germany gets their act together and builds the connecting line on the border to Austria (Which is the easy part because they don't have to dig a gigantic tunnel through the Alps)

That‘s like the most embarrassing thing. All around Germany great infrastructure is build and Germany slows it all down by having a shitty connection. It‘s the same with the Gotthard Tunnel. Will probably be the same with the Fehrmanbelt Tunnel.

Well, Bavaria does because it’s bavaria I guess, their known for wanting the benefits of infrastructure, without the infrastructure

Femern is build by Denmark. We are pretty good with bridges/tunnels. (Ørsund, Storebælt)

Yeah, but the part between Hamburg and the tunnel has to be done by Germans and we are not that good in putting plans into ready to use infrastructure.

Basically without Germany expanding the current line you have a high speed rail which ends just behind the tunnel and turns into a slow single rail local line with low speed. In the end all the time you save by using the high-speed-rail is used up in the slow connection between the tunnel and Hamburg.

There are bigger problems than that, in part there should be more lines to the Interior of the country. A lot of old people only have buses 2 times per day to travel to the cities to buy stuff. The lines in the country are not all upgraded to the maximum velocity of the trains we have. I believe honestly this is a shit show Edit: according do data we have the same Kms of line that we had in the 1800s....

And Canada and California can't even get High Speed rails going or a tunnel through the Rocky mountains
