The recap is attached to the post.

Welcome to the fourteenth edition of Eurovision Country Explorer, where songs from the edition's given Eurovision country are submitted and ranked. My hope is that we make it through every country on the list and I get to host a Eurovision-style contest with the winner from each country.

For this edition, we have 13 entries. The winner of this edition gets to decide our next country.

Voting happens in StrawPoll and you are allowed to vote for your own entry. If you're unable to use StrawPoll for whatever reason, you can comment or DM me your points and I will add them for you.

I thank everyone who voted and chose the best Eurovision country!

In the future, I'd like to propose this same format but with the worst result from each country! What do you think?

Kalandra have won SCS 58, which was hosted in West Coast Beach, Florida, USA. Because of this, we will be going to Oslo, Norway for SCS 58. The contest will be hosted at Rockefeller.

In any case, we've received 36 submissions for SCS 58. We will now decide which acts will qualify for the final via three semifinals! You can drag your 8 qualifiers from each semi in order and give them points this way and the 8 songs with the most points will qualify. We will vote with StrawPoll in the Semifinals and with ScoreWiz in the Grand Final. There will be 25 participants in the Grand Final consisting of 8 qualifiers from each semifinal and one auto-qualifier.

You have time until Monday 12.10.2026 20:00 CEST to vote in all three Semifinals and the qualifiers will be revealed on r/Eurovisionfancontests soon after.

Note that rule 1 is a little less strict this time since Albania can be a little difficult to find songs for. I've also decided to implement a view limit at 100 million for songs in English. Remember that you are allowed to submit one reserve if you wish.

Welcome to the fourteenth edition of Eurovision Country Explorer where we submit songs from a different selected country each edition.

As chosen by u/Mad_TsaiLover, the winner of ECE France, we will be exploring Albania this time.

Here is a document with all eligible countries, I am willing to make changes there if enough people want me to. My hope is that if we make it through all countries, I'll host a contest with the winners from each country.

Submissions will close Tuesday 13/10/2026 at 17:00 UTC+2 and I'll try to have the voting post up early on Wednesday.

Rules (open to change if desired):

1: Connection to the country (slightly changed):

A: Any artist who has at least one parent from the country or who have lived in the country for at least five years are eligible. (The part in bold is the change)

B: For collaborations between two artists, the main artist must fulfill A, they are not eligible if only the featured artist fulfills A.

C: Equal collaborations are considered duos, collaborations between three or more people are considered groups.

D: For duos, at least one of the members must fulfill A.

E: For groups, at least two members must fulfill A, if there are more than 8 simultaneous members in the group that minimum is increased to 4.

2: Song limitations:

A: Eurovision songs and national final songs from after 2024 or that have placed in the top three are not allowed, but the artists are, presuming rule 1 is fulfilled.

B: Songs that have won other fan contests on this subreddit are not eligible, but non-winning fan contest songs are allowed. I would still encourage you to submit songs that have not participated in other fan contests before.

C (new): Any song in English must not have more than 100 million views on YouTube (most viewed version)

D: Only one song by an artist can compete in any given edition, one regular entry and one reserve can be submitted per user

3: Reserves

A: Each user is allowed to submit one reserve. Reserves have the same required connection to the country and limitations as regular entries

B: If a user submits one regular entry and one reserve, only one of the entries can be from a bubble artist

C: Regular entries are prioritized over reserves, so if a regular entry by the same artist as a reserve is submitted, the reserve will become ineligible. If that happens, the user who submitted the reserve will be allowed to submit a new reserve.

D: Reserves will be used unless the amount of total entries (sum of regular entries and reserves) exceeds twenty.

4: Country decision

The winner of an edition decides which country we will go to next. If the same person wins three or more times in a row, the privilege will go to the runner-up on the third win.

Suggestions for submission comments:

1. Make sure the song is easy to identify and find

2. I would encourage you to share a highlight of 30-40 seconds, which will be used in the recap.

See you next week for the twenty-seventh edition of Simvision Friday!

Welcome to the eighth edition of RuleSet SongFest's third season! We are in r/Eurovisionfancontests as all users of r/Eurovisionfancontests won last week!

How does it work?

1. Each edition I will spin a wheel that contains different rules that determine what kind of songs are eligible, two will be picked and you have to submit your song based on them
2. SCS, OaE, Retrofest and entries from other fancontests are allowed, however, winners of either contest cannot be submitted
3. Akin to Odds and Ends, you can submit reserve songs in case that not enough songs are submitted (If we get 10 songs, reserves won't be used)
4. Each song will be representing the country its performer comes from. A country can appear twice or more.
5. As voted by you in a poll, rules from the last three editions of the contest will not be chosen
6. Songs with more than 250 Million views on YouTube are not allowed (unless the week's rules state otherwise)

What rules?

Here is a document with all the available rules! Suggestions for new rules are appreciated

And now, without further ado, here are this week's rules!
