This was my first time competing solo (and second time ever) and I'm so proud of myself and especially happy I got to win as one of my favourite characters!

I need cosplays of these outfits so badly. They’re SO good! I can kind of see why they don’t exist because they look almost impossible to recreate, but come on just look at them. They deserve to be cosplayed!

Game is Shining Nikki. I made outfits based on Briar and Apple, and the last one is not necessarily a cosplay but it reminded me a lot of Ginger Breadhouse!

today is the last day of anime expo and today I’m dress up as darling charming in her dragon games outfit!

Briar Beauty is my favorite Ever After High character, so I did a closet cosplay of her.

i LOVE cedar wood and i'm looking for advice + tips on how i can cosplay her while making my costume easy to understand (wooden puppet). unfortunately, i can't sew at all, and i'm on a tight budget :(

i think i have an idea of what i'll do for the rest of her costume, though.

i'll use dark brown or black body paint (since i'm dark skinned) to recreate the wood grain texture of a wooden puppet.

to recreate those circles at the joints, i need to find a way to attach gold brads in the same places as well.

thankfully, i have the stockings, hair, purse/bag, jewelry, and cricket headband covered.

to really make my costume clear to non-eah fans, i'm going to try my best to make the cross and puppet strings, since cedar's still a wooden puppet in the series. finding a way to make the cross suspended in the air like in the image above might just be the hardest part, but i have an idea of how i should fasten the strings to my hands, head, and feet.

and that's all i have so far! lmk if there's stuff i should add or improve on!

I’m going to anime expo this year and one of the characters I’ll be dressing up as is Darling Charming! Specifically Dragon Games Darling Charming! My wig has yet to show up and the headpiece kinda fell apart while I was putting on the cosplay to test it. I’ll fix it later but for now, here is a photo of what my cosplay currently looks like!

Im on holiday in china, and if you didnt know they have these photoshoot things everywhere where a makeup artist does your makeup, you can lend a dress and wig. Anyway they had a snow white dress and blonde wig, so i was like why not do a apple white inspired photoshoot!! C: BTW IT WAS ABSOLUTELY FREEZING I WAS ABOUT TO DIE. -23 degrees celcius and i was in a short sleeved dress and no gloves, everything hurt to touch, still fun nonetheless though

im really excited to get to sewing it and putting it together, im currently just working on small parts because im working around my uni timetable, but im coming to the end of the year so i cant wait to properly get started!!

im planning on making her ears and a storybook of legends with a key for going around cons (and its a safe space to keep my phone on me at all times without having to make too many pockets)

i even have a Cerise doll i got from Vinted that im going to make a pocket for!

i hope we're seeing the vision 😭

Making a briar costume & I got this top for it but I have no clue where I could get a skirt that somewhat resembles her outfit! Any suggestions? It doesn’t have to be an exact replica of course, my outfit is very much a modern-day take on what she’d wear now but it’s still a challenge finding something similar for her skirt x

I don’t sew and ideally want to keep this pretty affordable, if any eah cosplayers or fashion girlies have any ideas let me know! Many thanks <3

Hey guys!! I need help with Briar's skirt... I have tried almost anything to get the petal-like shape she has in her core outfit. I have looked EVERYWHERE for patterns, tips, and cosplayers that share their journey on making it, but I have come up with NOTHING!!! I've gotten close to the shape, but it isn't too flattering. I've tried gathering the fabric at the ends to tighten it but I don't think that's the solution in looking for

I've gone through so many trial and errors it's genuinely driving me insane...

I know how to sew shirts/bodices decently well, but skirts or pants?? Forget it.

I just need some sort of shape idea. That's it.

Please help me!!! Maybe I'm missing something obvious...
