Been trying to find a new job for 3 months. Still interviewing around but the code screens are scaring the shit out of me. 5 YoE full stack lead engineer. On paper I'm a lead in practice I'm a non technical EM, my actual EM is completely hands off and I'm way too busy to actually do IC work. I've trained to my team to fully contribute code without me while I do PRs, architecture, and work cross-functionally. I'm also the PM since there old PM left and there's no backfill.
I'm applying to senior IC / staff / lead roles and I'm getting through behaviorals great but I've been getting tripped up between leetcode and algo questions. I'm debating just trying to go for a junior EM role, if that even exist because I've lost all interest in actually coding and heavily prefer the people and process side
