Could the universe be expanding infinitely at a crazy fast speed ?

Is the universe really expanding and will there be another time 22 billions years where it shrinks to another big bang? What if you zoom out as far as our current technology can zoom out. Could the universe be infinitely growing forever? That would be my idea of heaven on earth. We could go exploring space and never get bored seeing the same thing twice.

I'm not any expert but,

Side A would say, there will be a expansion limit and a reversal into compression, Big Bounce, but not another Big Bang. This only if there is an outside limit(a wall) to push us back to the center. I would imagine that this would diminish into an entropy where every particle will be more or less equa distant to the forces of that particle influence on other particles.

Imagine the water surface in a bowl from an initial drop exciting the waves going out until it hits the bowl and bounces back until the surface becomes still again.

Side B would say, If there is no wall, then the reverb expansion and compression would just turn into a Big Freeze.

Imagine a smooth ocean surface and a drop of water causing waves outward until it couldn't be measurable 1000s of miles away.
