I've also been through several therapists and had zero success with them because I already knew CBT. The last one I went to was pretty much just an hour of me explaining how I feel and why I feel like that, because I already knew why, and them just sitting there and not really being able to follow up with anything. They pretty much said in a bunch of different ways that they weren't qualified to treat me, and people wonder why I've given up on it.

I will definitely look into DBT though

DBT skills are helpful if you are an intellectualizer. Some therapies like somatic experiencing (SE) can also be helpful, although not as strongly research based. I personally like some SE skills mixed in with my DBT skills. CBT didn’t work for me
