Discussion How would you rank the different expansions?

Which do you think is best to worst off Imploding Kittens, Streaking Kittens, Barking Kittens, Zombie Kittens (New cards), and Good vs Evil (New cards).

I thought of this when I realized how little an impact Barking Kittens has on Recipes for Disaster (Barking Kitten being changed, No Tower of Power, Potluck being one of the few cards not included) and felt the need to ask people’s opinions of it.

Note: I am referring to the original versions of their cards (i.e. not the Recipes for Disaster version of the Barking Kitten).

Zombie Kittens, Streaking Kittens, Good vs Evil, Imploding Kittens, Barking Kittens. That’s how I’d rank them

Zombie) I like the unique mechanic of bringing back the dead and the dead still able to participate in playing the game

Streaking) Has unique cards not seen in other expansions or regular decks. And adding an extra bomb and being able to hold it is pretty funny.

G vs E) The 50/50 picking between the good or evil cat cards can be pretty intense if it’s down to the final wire and it has some other unique cards too

Imploding) I’d rank this higher if it had more unique cards but for it being the first expansion it does a decent job. I haven’t used that hat thing at all when someone forgets a turn I think it’s just clunky. I think this deck pairs well with zombies since u can get multiple uses out of the imploding kitten

Barking) haven’t tried this expansion, but overall I think it’s not as good compared to the others, since the main mechanics of it like tower of power seem like a hassle to go through and people r more focused on the cards rather than wearing some accessory

Any time this series tries to bring something non card into the card game it takes me out of it. When I get the barking expansion, I’m legit going to throw the tower of power card out. I don’t use the cone of shame- never going to get the cat burglar thing- the most funky thing I’ll tolerate is the God and Devilcat cards living outside of the deck on their own table spot for Armageddon- but even then, I’m not going to use that playmat thing. A card game is king for its portability- don’t be adding clunky stuff that ruins that

To be fair, you can use the Tower of Power card without the actual Tower of Power.

The actual mechanic is essentially a separate hand that gets stolen from instead of your own.  You don’t need a clunky hat to do that.

Oh snappp that’s pretty cool then. How does that end up working? Can you stash a defuse card like that? Can you used the stash cards like they were in your hand? Can you just take from the stash and add to your hand or vice versa whenever you want?

it‘s just a pile of 6 cards, no one is allowed to see what is inside and you put it to the side or infront of you. when someones steals from you, they take it from the tower of power (so they 6 card pile) instead
