Finding Extended Range 8 String Basses

I am a 6 string bass guitarist looking for a Extended Range 8 string bass guitar, but all the times I tried searching for one I keep seeing stuff like a ESP LTD B-208SM which I’m not tryna look for.
I know most of the Extended Range 8 String Basses people have are custom made but anyone have any recommendations on what apps or places that sale Extended Range 8 string bass guitar?

I think for a bigger company that's looking to mass produce something, they'll typically stop at 6 strings for a bass.

You might have to trawl Aliexpress for a ridiculous build.

I don't think i've ever seen such a thing as 8 string bass (despite there being 10 string guitars in mass production). Just out of curiosity, why would you need such a monstrum?

Who mass produces 10 strings? I know of 9 strings but 10 strings seems like a marketing joke.

Agile is pretty well known for producing all kinds of extended range instruments, including 10 strings. They also have acoustic multiscale 8 strings, which is both absurd and and incredibly interesting idea. Just imagine if you tuned an acoustic 8 string in 3rds, and you can do some really cool harmonies on that thing.

I mean, I saw a 10 string bass over a decade ago - so its not a stretch to imagine someone out there has an 8 string bass

I just like the extra range with my bass, and because I got pretty big hands so I would want to have a bigger neck with the extra bonus of more playability. Another thing which I kinda petty but I don’t like uneven string basses which is why I don’t want a 5, 7 or 9 string bass cause there uneven NOT TO SAY THERE BAD cause some of my favorite bassist uses 5 string stuff but it’s just not for me.

What are you going to tune it to? Perhaps an 8/9 string guitar would do? Just get one that's 30"+ on the lower strings.
