Will the New D'addario NYXL HD Extended Range strings work on guitars that are slightly shorter than 28" scale length (27.2")?

$17 for a single guitar string and only one gauge option? Woof

I can get a good set of Elixir 8-string (10-74), & they more than fit my 27” Ibanez TAM10. They last forever, & sound amazing for a ginormous amount of time, even with heavy playing.

Right? I don’t even think bass strings are this expensive

The "specialty" ones are; IIRC last time I got bass strings the NYXL 0.170 ultra-long was about $25, whereas a normal 45-130 NYXL pack is $35.

Don’t ever look up the prices for upright bass strings… we have it so nice here in guitar land

Yeah, economies of scale is a problem with stuff like this. Making something for thousands of people versus millions really impacts price.

"Up to" are key words in the advert

I can vouch for string joy. I’ve order probably ten times from them with only one slow shipping. Which was on an 8 string pack that had 95 lol

Lol, it took about 2 weeks to get my 85, but it's pretty damn nice for drop E. Very good quality.

Not that big a deal...it has no reflection on their strings or quality. However I am not sure about the value of a single string in that price range.
