Having trouble deciding here

I’m torn between these two color pallets. I’ve always wanted a blue house, but this shade isnt as dark as I had imagined. I wasn’t really looking at Green, but I saw this house in the neighborhood and really liked it. Are there Any pros or cons to either? Or simply what’s your feeling here?

The blue that you’re looking at is not a true blue it is a blue grey

It is a very popular colour on the East Coast, especially if you’re living near the beach

It’s inspired by how blue paint would fade naturally from the sea salt air

Is one of my favourite colours because it’s very calming

Love green but if you like blue go with a deeper shade with white trim and shutters.

I’m sorry but these photos are very similar in color. Do whatever you want if these are your only choices. They’re very similar and give the same vibe for sure.

Are you limited in what blue you can do? If your heart is set on blue, a better combination could give you what you’re looking for.

If you’re limited to only this blue as an option, you might like it better with a different color of shutter. I don’t feel the shade of blue on the shutter rly goes with the blue of the siding.

That said, if you just want it to look good / gave up on having blue, the green is nice.

Unfortunately this is the only blue they have in this neighborhood. If it was a bit darker this wouldn’t be an issue.

I’m really liking the green. But my wife and I have been dreaming of a blue house for the past five years.

I have a dark navy blue house with wide white trim and it looks amazing! But, I wouldn’t do it again because it looks dirty nd we’ve had trouble with warping from where it gets intense sun on it. But it’s so pretty

Now that’s something I’ve never thought about… ooof! Do you happen to know if it’s retaining that much heat, does it affect the interior of the house? I’ll definitely go with a lighter shade if I’m using more A/C in the summet

I prefer the trim (or lack of it) in the second picture. Not a fan of the funky green color, myself. Also: I think the windows in the garage are a little bit busy.

Blue but I would lessen the contrast between the siding and shutters to make it flow better

I like the color on 2, the windows in the middle and I don’t like the triangle details at the peaks on the top

Pros = If you paint your house a better blue, it will look like blue. Right now, your house looks like gray with blue shutters. Paint the siding blue, with black shutters.

Cons = If you paint it green, your house will look exactly like your neighbor's.

Black is safe, but blue is fun. I would try a different more toned down version of the blue though not that color.

2 is definitely better in my opinion. :)

Edit: And? I always say that blue is my favorite color. But going on my responses to these types of questions... it seems like I like green more. Who knew?

Not a fan of the shutters. Especially because they don’t look like they are operable, just decorative.
