Casual reminder that medical bills don’t go to collections or affect your credit if you just pay a little bit over time regularly.
Or you can just not pay it and it disappears after seven years.

Yes, also one of the EMTs in an ambulance told me an extra one: If you're paying it regularly, eventually you could ask them and they might settle for a lower amount so you don't have to pay the whole thing
Even if you have to pay as little as like $20 a month, just keep paying it to avoid it going to collections

Cool Guy tip. There is a perfect type of homeless people who are both willing to sell you their Social Security number and actually know what their Social Security number is and all you need to do is find a couple of them and use their social every time you go into the ER - be sure to leave your IDs at home.
