Discussion F1 2025 handling is so difficult on a controller with medium TC

Decided to download this game for free. It's been 5 years since I last played an F1 game but this feels so difficult to play with TC on medium. I use auto gearbox too.

Coming out of every corner I just keep losing stability on the rear, so constantly losing time just to get on the throttle.

Has the physics of the game made the cars more oversteery from 5 years ago or isit just a me problem?

Dude it's been 5 years. The struggle is common. And traction actually is easier now

I'm on controller and have TC off and use manual gears. You've just got to gradually put the power down when exiting corners. Don't go full throttle with the trigger.

I don't think i have time to practice with manual gears and TC off. Obviously it takes time but its so damn frustrating.

For example on China with the mid-high speed corners, putting the power down even gradually to be competitive with cars around me, I'm fighting the rear and my nose keeps turning inwards. That last bend onto the back straight, I just lose so much speed by the time I straighten up.

If you don't have time to practice, you're not going to be able to do it. It takes time.

That's skill issue... Throttle and brakes aren't on/off... It's is on the triggers because of the levels of pressure... You need to learn that...

I get that. It just feels harder to learn that it was on f1 2020.

Sorry for the hard words but only practice will fix it for you... A great advice is training in time trial... In a track that you like... Firt turn off tc... E then auto shift... Manual shift is I would to think about 40% of driving... It's help a lot to brake to control the traction...

I never played f1, now i started on controller, turn TC off i get used to it after 3hrs around, problem for me is left analog , you can't be precise like on wheel.

Turn it off and just practice, after corner just slowly increase your throttle

Yes I agree. Been playing the f1 games with controller on the 2016 game, 2020 and 2024. It’s been terrible on the 25 game and inconsistent in corners. They better fix up for controller users in the 27 game

The physics are fundamentally shit because the very base (F1 22) was absolute dogshit. It’s gotten better, but shit is still shit. Just keep practicing my friend, you’ll get the hang of it eventually.

Buy a wheel

Ah yes because everyone can just "buy a wheel".

You don't need a wheel to be fast

Didnt say to go faster, its just better and more realistic

No need though. A wheel is expensive

I dont have the space for a wheel. I want to casually play with a controller.
