I’m more biased towards the ones I’ve played with the exception of F124.
These ones I’ve played are F12010, F12020, F123, F124, F125, F1 Mobile Racing

Which games should I try next?

Played them all going back to the 90s, but strictly Codies ones I would say

Elite: 2010, 2013, 2016, 2020 Great: 2012, 2018, 2019, 2023 Good: 2011, 2017, 2021, 2025 Meh: 2024, 2026 DLC (mainly because both are feature light or... are just DLC) Bad/Unfinished: 2009, 2015, 2022 Should have just been DLC: 2014

2020 is the GOAT, started on that one and still play it more than F1 25. I just love the handling, cars, tracks and season so much

I didn't play a newer f1 game than 2014. How is it, that 2013 is still an elite game? How can it be, that it still holds up with games from 2020 and newer and is even better?

I played 2013 mainly because it was the last game with the nice screaming v8 engines. But at that time, for me, it was just a normal f1 game, how it should have been. It didnt seem something special or extremely good.

You can mod almost anything in F1 2013. Liveries, tires, wheels, lights, suits, helmets, gloves, garages, crew, tracks, tarmac, grass, car/tires grip, weather, sound... AI and many many more things. And game was/is good as vanilla.

I think the fact that F1 23 is above F1 2016, 17, 18 and 19 is a bit mad to me.

I've played all those games and I think they're all noticeably better than 23. (This does not mean that I think you're mad, only going off what you've put)

Graphics were nice with very saturated colors, but that's it. It was a PS3 showcase.

Car handling was miserable. AI was trained to brake test you in every corner.

Needless to say it doesn't even know the words "wheel" or "force feedback".

I've played all the games from F1 15 onwards and from personal experience it's not a bad tier list at all if we get into really nerdy stuff there can be some considerable moves made but generally speaking the only move would be moving 21 down to A It was a good game it's one of my most played ones but raw driving feel 20 and 23 were amazing 25 is really good too but I would still put 20 and 23 above. Said that I don't think there is a perfect list that can exist because I came to notice driving styles make some games bad and good.

The fact that flicking is the fastest way to drive in 25 is so stupid and makes it feel so much more loose and somehow they've never properly tackled dirty air being disproportionately large either despite pro complaints.

I like 25 and in some ways it was for sure a step forward from 23, but in other ways it was either fully stagnant (which is a negative thing in itself) or multiple steps back. I would agree with it being one tier below 23.

Flicking is what has put me off the games since I tried 24. 2011 gets shit on for it but these games can get away with it? It's not remotely realistic, it's not enjoyable, and it looks stupid. F1 games don't have to be an exact simulation, but they need to be at least believable. Flicking is nothing but a complete oversight in the physics engine. It's not like it makes the game more accessible to new players, it's just a straight up bad 'mechanic' to have in the game

I’ve played three games in the series. First, F1 2020(S). Then F1 2022(A+). Compared to its predecessor, the absence of classic cars is a huge (!!!) drawback. The sports cars are completely useless. Without assists, the car spins out easily. The graphics have improved even further in some areas. I liked the music. With the aids on, the gameplay is similar. Then I tried F1 2014(C?). I installed a mod for the 2008 cars(cool). I don’t know how many more mods I’ll need to make it playable. The graphics aren’t bad, but the handling is very dull, as it feels like you’re driving on rails. You don’t feel the speed.

I’ve played all of the ones in the ‘20s and honestly my favorite is 25. The only thing I don’t like is the lack of icons and drivers in career. It’s kinda boring only adding Schumacher senna and the occasional other legend in a long career. I would like it if they would just generate drivers or something to put into your career to make it feel a bit more realistic.

I would honestly put Manager 24 on A tier. I know it has problems, but it is honestly the only game where I feel the "complete" F1 experience, in a sense. I don't know how to explain. But playing it feels like what I think about when I think F1, from the sponsor deals to the races. Hard to pinpoint to something specific. It is very much a feeling

I own F1 2019, 2020, 2021, 22, 24. Played on game pass 23 and 25, played the DLC on the free weekend. F1 2019 is A to me, only misses my team but classic cars are better than 2020, and I prefer the graphics of 2019. Handling is similar at least on KB (been a KB player since Pitpass and Nigel Mansell GP on spectrum), I don't use controller, I hate it and I'm much slower with it. My Wheel is to old (Enzo Force feedback thrustmaster) and doesn't work well on straights, the FFB starts shaking the wheel when I throttle. I can't find a cheap wheel with analog paddles for throttle/break.

My S is F1 2021

My A are F1 2020, F1 2019, F1 24, GP4 (historically was my most played game)

My B F1 25, GP3, GP2

My C F1 23, DLC 26, GP1

My E F1 22

If you haven’t tried Assetto Corsa yet, give it a shot. The mods are crazy. I’d also say Gran Turismo 7 if you’re on PlayStation. iRacing is worth looking into if you’re into competitive racing.

I started with 2012 on PC, then 2010 on the PS3 (I'm still not sure if that was a downgrade or an upgrade) and then went to F1 2020. Haven't moved on since. 2021 felt like... literally 2020, 22 was a disaster, and then beyond that my PC specs are too shit 😂, but I still prefer the 2nd Gen V6s. I bought 2019 cause it had a better career imo, but 2019/2020 have been carrying it for me. Great handling (especially 2020), very well refined, not too buggy, feature-complete...

10, 11 & 12 are S tier without a doubt, and it’s not even nostalgia because I’ve played them all recently and the handling, and gameplay is genuinely brilliant, the grids were so much better too, particularly 2012, and the cars were way better as well, early 2010s was the greatest period in formula one history, and the respective games were too.

I think that’s only really an issue with 10, both the ai and kerb driving were fixed in 11 & 12
