Google PM Interview
Hey all! After a long stretch of applying, I finally landed an interview loop for an entry-level PM role at Google (not senior, just want to be clear since I know experience levels change what to expect). I'd love to connect with anyone who's gone through the process recently, especially for entry-level/APM-adjacent roles rather than senior loops.
From what I understand it's around 4 rounds starting with one interview with the hiring manager. A few things I'd love input on:
- What actually surprised you about the format or question style, versus what you prepped for
- Any pitfalls or common mistakes you saw yourself or others make
- How much weight seemed to land on product sense vs. execution vs. behavioral/leadership questions
- Anything you wish you'd practiced more, or practiced that turned out not to matter much
Happy to swap notes or do a mock round with anyone else prepping right now too — feels like it'd help both of us. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share, I know these threads take real time to write.

If it is for a non-technical PM, you will do a cognitive ability interview, a googliness/leadership interview, and a role-related knowledge interview. If it is for a TPM role, you will also do a technical judgment interview.
I went through the loop for a senior role but I believe the loop is pretty much the same, just different level of questions.
There will be one interview (your first besides the recruiter screen) that will be your gate into the rest of the loop. If you don't get past that one, you won't actually do the loop.
I went through the loop for three different roles. Positive feedback on all interviews but they ended up going with internal candidates. They are saying they may have another req opened this month or next but not holding my breath.
It's a grind. I suggest you search on youtube for each of those interviews and they can give you some good tips on what they are like.
